Flurys, the legendary bakery and confectionery brand of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, has opened its first tearoom in Mumbai, situated near the iconic Gateway of India. This new establishment marks the 84th Flurys outlet in India and brings the brand's cherished offerings to the heart of Mumbai.

A Taste of Tradition and Elegance

Since its founding in 1927 in Kolkata, Flurys has been renowned for its exceptional quality and timeless charm. The new tearoom in Mumbai features a delightful selection of Flurys’ signature dishes, including the renowned Flurys Full English Breakfast, Egg Benedict, and classic Flurys Sandwiches. Guests can also indulge in Rum Balls, Heritage Coupes, Sundaes, and a variety of pastries such as Chocolate & Strawberry Cube Pastries. The tearoom offers an array of Classic & Flurys Special Cocktails and Heritage Coffees, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Atmosphere and Design

The tearoom, with a seating capacity of about 100, offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Inside, plush seating and ambient lighting create a nostalgic yet contemporary atmosphere, adorned with Flurys memorabilia. The outdoor area provides scenic views of the Arabian Sea, enhancing the dining experience with picturesque vistas of boats and ships.

Priya Paul, Chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to debut Flurys' first tearoom outside Kolkata, near the Gateway of India. Flurys has been a cherished brand in Kolkata for generations, and we are committed to bringing the same quality and heritage to Mumbai.”

Vijay Dewan, Managing Director of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, highlighted Mumbai's significance, saying, “Mumbai is a key market for us. We saw great potential and decided to expand from two kiosks to our first tearoom outside Kolkata. Flurys’ business has grown significantly, and we plan to reach 100 outlets by mid-2025 and 120 by the end of the financial year.”

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant street food culture of Asia, Embers of Grills recreates the experience of live charcoal cooking in a restaurant setting through bold marinades, authentic flavours and a menu designed to cater to a variety of preferences.
