Chalu Apna Desi Chinese, a popular Indian-Chinese restaurant chain, has taken a significant step towards global expansion with the launch of its first international outlet in Ontario, Canada. Known for its fusion of bold Indian spices with classic Chinese flavors, the brand has already won over food lovers across 33 cities in India with its 200+ outlets. Now, Canadian diners can experience the same flavorful journey with its unique take on Desi Chinese cuisine.
Founded in 2020 by Vibhanshu Mishra, Chalu Apna Desi Chinese has grown into a household name, offering signature dishes like Hakka Noodles with a desi twist and aromatic Manchurian curries. With a turnover of ₹53 crore in FY23 and a valuation nearing ₹100 crore, the brand continues to make waves in the fast-food industry.
The first Canadian outlet, located at Trafalgar Crossing, marks just the beginning of the brand’s global aspirations. By the end of 2025, Chalu Apna Desi Chinese aims to establish 25 outlets across Canada and an additional 10 in Arizona, USA.
Speaking about this milestone, founder Vibhanshu Mishra expressed his excitement: “Bringing Chalu Apna Desi Chinese to Canada is a dream come true. The brand ensures that all dishes are made with natural ingredients, avoiding artificial enhancers like Ajinomoto, to deliver wholesome and delicious meals.
As Chalu Apna Desi Chinese embarks on this global adventure, it expects a 70% revenue growth in the coming fiscal year. With an established track record and an unwavering commitment to quality, the brand is poised for success in new markets.

Bengaluru is gearing up for Oktoberfest 2025, and the city’s beer lovers have plenty to look forward to. This year, three venues, Gladia Brewery & Kitchen, Chin Lung, and Amicii are taking the Bavarian spirit and adding their own flavour to it. Expect freshly brewed beers, indulgent menus, and festive settings that recreate the energy of Munich’s world-famous celebration right here at home.
Gladia Brewery & Kitchen: A Taste of Bavaria in the City
From late September to early October, Gladia Brewery & Kitchen is turning into a Bavarian-style beer haven. The highlight is their limited-edition Märzen—a German Lager with a warm copper finish, toasty aroma, and balanced malt profile (6% ABV, 22 IBU). Paired with German sausages, oven-fresh pretzels, and the signature Hummingbird Cake, it’s a menu built for indulgence. Chin Lung: Brewing Legacy Meets Festive Cheer
One of Bengaluru’s oldest brewing names, Chin Lung is adding Oktoberfest flair across its Indiranagar and Marathahalli outlets. From October onwards, visitors can enjoy specially brewed Oktoberfest pints. With over six decades of brewing heritage, Chin Lung blends Bavarian fest vibes with its signature IPAs and Asian-inspired brews. Amicii: A Feast with a Twist
Starting early October, Amicii is joining the celebration with a food-forward spin on Oktoberfest. Their curated menu includes Avocado & Cream Cheese Croquettes, Mini Samosa Sliders, Mutton Sukha, Tandoori Sausages, Sticky Bacon-Wrapped Sausages, and a Coorg-style Pandi Fry. Leads Brand Connect, a leading advertising and brand marketing company, has introduced Portugal’s ultra-premium extra virgin olive oil brand, Coração do Vale, to the Indian market. The official launch took place at World Food India 2025, marking the entry of one of Portugal’s finest gourmet products into India.
Coração do Vale, sourced from the famed olive groves of Baixo Alentejo, widely regarded as the cradle of Portuguese olive-growing traditions was inaugurated by Shri Chirag Paswan, Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Crafted from a blend of native Portuguese olive varieties including Arbequina, Arbosana, Cobrançosa, Picual, Cordovil, Verdeal, and Galega, Coração do Vale stands out for its distinctive fruity and balanced profile, making it a true gourmet indulgence for refined palates.

Classics are reinvented — Rajasthani Dal Bati becomes Dal Bati Bites, dosa transforms into crisp Onion Rings, and Mumbai Pav Bhaji finds new form as buttery rolls. Desserts too bridge nostalgia and innovation, with creations like Aamras Panna Cotta and Jigarthanda Falooda. Each dish complements the cocktails, celebrating India’s culinary heritage with a modern twist.
