Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the largest hospitality group in India, has announced the opening of Ginger Coimbatore Airport on Avinashi Road. This new addition to the Ginger brand is designed to offer a modern and comfortable stay, embodying the brand’s “lean luxe” philosophy, which emphasizes affordable luxury with a contemporary touch.
Ginger Coimbatore Airport features 68 rooms and is strategically located near the Coimbatore International Airport, making it convenient for travelers. It is also close to key business hubs such as Tidel Park, Coddisia Trade Centre, Chil SEZ IT Park, and Thoughtworks Tech, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President of New Businesses, Hotel Openings & Corporate Communications at IHCL, said "Coimbatore’s inclusion as a smart city combined with its robust infrastructure development and improved connectivity is creating a thriving ecosystem for businesses and tourists. Ginger, with its lean luxe offering, will cater to the evolving needs of both corporate and leisure travellers in the city."
The hotel offers a range of amenities, including Qmin, the brand’s signature all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a well-equipped fitness center, and a conference room, ensuring a comprehensive experience for guests.
Coimbatore is increasingly recognized as a major center for IT, education, and healthcare, making it one of India’s fastest-growing tier-II cities. Located at the base of the Western Ghats, the city also serves as a gateway to the scenic Nilgiri Hills, offering a blend of natural beauty, colonial charm, and rich biodiversity that appeals to a broad spectrum of visitors.
With the opening of Ginger Coimbatore Airport, IHCL now operates 18 hotels in Tamil Nadu.
