Goa Tourism has been awarded the Best Wedding Destination in India at the Wow Awards Middle East 2024, held in Dubai. This recognition, presented by EVENTFAQS Media and WOW Awards Middle East, highlights Goa’s rising status as a top location for destination weddings, offering everything from intimate beachfront ceremonies to lavish celebrations.

The Consul General of India in Dubai, K. Kalimuthu, accepted the award on behalf of Goa Tourism. Goa's pristine beaches, luxurious resorts, and variety of venues have made it a sought-after wedding destination. Popular spots like Palolem, Agonda, and Morjim beaches, along with high-end resorts such as Taj Cidade de Goa, W Goa, and Alila Diwa Goa, are well-known for their world-class services and amenities.

Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte expressed his excitement, saying, “This award reflects the hard work of the Department of Tourism and our partners in delivering unforgettable experiences. We aim to continue improving Goa’s tourism infrastructure to meet global standards and position it as a premier wedding destination.”

Suneel Anchipaka, Director of Tourism, also emphasized Goa’s appeal to couples seeking both traditional and modern wedding venues. He stated, “Goa has long been a preferred destination for weddings, with its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. We are committed to promoting this potential on a global scale.”

Goa’s tourism department also focuses on eco-friendly practices, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of events while supporting local artisans and communities. This award further solidifies Goa’s reputation as a top wedding and tourism destination.
