Hammer & Song, a prominent taproom and cocktail bar located in Cuffe Parade at the World Trade Centre, has announced the launch of its new Jazz Nights series. This event, blending live jazz music with urban contemporary art, is set to take place every other Wednesday, offering a fresh mid-week entertainment option in South Mumbai. The inaugural Jazz Night is scheduled for August 14th at 8 PM, promising a night of soulful music and stunning visual art.
The event will feature live performances curated by the acclaimed saxophonist Ryan Sadri, also known as RynoSax. With over 20 years of experience, Ryan Sadri is a well-known figure in the jazz world, having performed at major international venues like London's Queen Elizabeth Hall and the WOMAD Festival in Spain. His diverse musical background and extensive experience make him the perfect choice to lead this new initiative at Hammer & Song.
In addition to the music, the event will also showcase an art exhibit curated by Gallery XXL, which specializes in urban contemporary art. Gallery XXL works with both Indian and international artists who are pushing the boundaries of urban art, making it a fitting complement to the evening’s jazz performances.
To enhance the atmosphere, Hammer & Song’s servers will be dressed in vintage-inspired attire, adding a touch of nostalgia to the night. The combination of live jazz and cutting-edge art aims to create an immersive and engaging experience for all attendees, offering a unique way to unwind in the middle of the week.
Ayush, the founder of Hammer & Song, expressed his excitement about the event, saying, "Hammer & Song is the perfect venue for this event. I absolutely love the concept of live jazz—it’s engaging, it’s intimate, and it sets the mood right for a relaxed mid-week night out. With the support of Ryan (aka RynoSax), I aim to revive the jazz scene in South Mumbai, this time featuring amazing artworks from Gallery XXL."
Jazz enthusiasts and art lovers are invited to mark their calendars for August 14th and join in this unique celebration where music and art come together in the heart of South Mumbai.
About Hammer & Song:
