Hansgrohe Group, the German-based global leader in premium bathroom and kitchen solutions, has announced the appointment of Abdulkader Bengali as Managing Director for its India operations. The move reflects the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.
Bengali brings with him more than 26 years of leadership experience across the construction and building materials industry. Before joining Hansgrohe, he was Senior Vice President at Sintex BAPL, where he led the Water Management Solutions division. He has also held key roles at ALP Aeroflex, driving business transformation, and at Owens Corning, where he managed India and SAARC operations with an international perspective. An NIT Surat gold medalist and an Executive MBA graduate from SP Jain, Bengali is known for turning businesses into high-growth success stories.
Welcoming the new MD, Thomas Stopper, Vice President Asia, Hansgrohe Group, said, “We are delighted to welcome Abdulkader Bengali to the Hansgrohe family. His exceptional track record in transforming businesses and deep expertise in the Indian market make him the ideal leader to drive our continued expansion in this strategic region”.
The appointment comes at a crucial time. India’s bathroom fittings market, valued at USD 11.49 billion in 2025, is projected to grow to USD 16.67 billion by 2030. The luxury fittings segment alone is set to double by 2032, fuelled by rising incomes and urban growth. Bengali’s expertise in P&L management, sales excellence, and operational efficiency positions him well to lead Hansgrohe’s expansion in this booming space.
Founded in 1901 in Germany’s Black Forest, Hansgrohe has built a global reputation for innovation, design, and sustainable water technologies. With operations in more than 190 countries, the company continues to set benchmarks in bathroom and kitchen experiences through its brands AXOR and hansgrohe.
With Bengali at the helm in India, Hansgrohe aims to accelerate its growth and deliver world-class solutions tailored to Indian consumers.
