Hilton is taking meaningful strides toward fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace for women. Through dedicated programs and initiatives, the company is ensuring that women at all levels— from entry positions to leadership roles— have the support, training, and opportunities they need to succeed.
A key part of this vision is the Women’s Team Member Resource Group (WTMRG), which provides professional development, leadership training, and networking opportunities. This platform equips women team members with the tools to achieve their career aspirations while thriving in a supportive community.
Hilton’s commitment to inclusion was further strengthened with the Shakti at Hilton initiative, launched in 2024. This program brings together women leaders, industry experts, and team members through workshops on leadership, financial independence, self-defense, and wellness. Networking sessions, mentorship programs, and community service projects reinforce the belief that true empowerment comes from collective action.
Recognizing achievements is also at the heart of Hilton’s culture. The Women Leadership Empowerment Awards honor top-performing women across the organization. Monthly recognitions during town halls and annual awards highlight the invaluable contributions of women in the hospitality industry.
Beyond professional growth, Hilton prioritizes well-being through its Thrive at Hilton platform. Employees have access to mental wellness resources, leadership toolkits, and emergency support services. Programs like Thrive Sabbatical and Thrive Reset offer paid time off and financial grants, enabling employees to recharge, acquire new skills, or engage in community service. The brand has set an ambitious goal to increase women's representation to 25% by the end of 2025, backed by leadership development initiatives and flexible work arrangements.
Safety and convenience are also at the forefront of Hilton’s inclusion strategy. The Ladies’ Accommodation Program ensures safe and well-equipped living spaces, while the Ladies’ Transportation Program provides GPS-tracked travel for women working night shifts. Additionally, the "It’s OK" Flexible Working Hours initiative allows women to balance personal and professional responsibilities with ease.
"At Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Manyata, we don’t just hire women—we empower them to lead, thrive, and break barriers. Since pre-opening, 250 incredible women have been part of our journey, with 34 stepping into leadership roles. Some have gone on to become General Managers, while others have taken senior positions at global companies. Today, 92 strong, talented women continue to shape our success. This Women’s Day, we celebrate their resilience, ambition, and unwavering spirit," says Manish Garg, General Manager, Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park.
