The Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island is opening a new chapter in the storied history of Hilton Head Island's hospitality scene. Following an extensive multi-million dollar makeover, the former Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa has rebranded, ushering in a new era of luxury and service as the only Hilton-branded full-service resort in the vicinity.
As of March 1, 2024, the resort has welcomed guests to its newly revamped premises, which boast 513 guest rooms and suites, including a prestigious presidential suite and four vice presidential suites. This renovation extends beyond the accommodations to include public areas, dining options, and event spaces, ensuring that every aspect of the guest experience is elevated.
Managed by Columbia Sussex and located within the lush Palmetto Dunes community, the resort offers unparalleled access to three miles of pristine beachfront, three PGA-level golf courses, and a plethora of outdoor activities spanning 2,000 acres. It's an ideal destination for those seeking the perfect blend of relaxation, recreation, and luxury.
General Manager Asvil Correia assures that the transition for guests booked prior to the rebranding has been smooth and well-received, with groups looking forward to the future renovations and updates. The resort's dedicated staff, many of whom have been part of the team for decades, continue to deliver exceptional service, exceeding guest expectations.
In addition to the resort's on-site amenities, guests can explore the Shelter Cove Community across from Palmetto Dunes. This 285-acre haven offers a harbor, shopping plaza, and the new Shelter Cove Towne Centre, surrounded by saltwater coastline and designed with leisure in mind. With its mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, along with ample biking and walking paths, it's a perfect complement to the resort's luxurious offerings.
This rebranding and renovation come on the heels of the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort's $26 million overhaul, signalling a broader trend of luxury and service elevation in South Carolina's premier vacation destination. The Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island is poised to become a beacon of hospitality excellence, inviting guests to experience the pinnacle of relaxation and luxury on Hilton Head Island.

Jetwing Hotels has announced a major portfolio restructure, introducing a fresh branding strategy designed to meet the needs of today's diverse travellers. The move marks a significant step for the Sri Lankan hospitality giant as it evolves to align with modern travel trends and guest expectations.
Under the new structure, Jetwing’s properties will be grouped into four clear segments: Jetwing Luxury Reserves, Jetwing Premium Hotels, Select Hotels, and Essentials. This shift from the earlier "Hotels" and "Villas" categories aims to make it easier for guests to choose the experiences that best suit their preferences and budgets.
At the pinnacle of the new portfolio is Jetwing Luxury Reserves, featuring 5-star flagship properties offering exclusive, personalised experiences. With stunning architecture, gourmet dining, and bespoke service, these hotels promise not just a stay but a transformative journey into luxury.
Jetwing Premium Hotels will present a blend of contemporary comfort and Sri Lanka’s rich heritage. This 4-star and 5-star collection offers full-service accommodations, warm hospitality, and immersive experiences rooted in local culture, perfect for guests seeking refinement and relaxation.
Select Hotels will cater to travellers looking for authentic Sri Lankan experiences at an accessible price. While these properties do not carry the Jetwing brand name, they uphold its signature warmth and service. Popular destinations like Hotel Sigiriyaaya, the award-winning Mermaid Hotel and Club in Kalutara, and Meena Amma’s Tea Experience in Ambewela are part of this collection.
For budget-conscious adventurers, Essentials offers simple, comfortable, and practical stays. Brands like Hotel J and City Beds focus on essential travel needs, providing reliable hospitality at central locations across Sri Lanka.
"Today, after the turmoil we all faced for over four years, we are more optimistic than ever about the growth potential of our industry and its role in transforming Sri Lanka's economy," said Hashan Cooray, Director of Marketing and Development. "With this in mind, we felt it was time to bring more clarity to our branding as we now operate over 35 properties around our paradise island."
Staying true to its legacy, Jetwing Hotels continues to champion sustainability and service excellence across all categories. Whether it’s the indulgent privacy of Luxury Reserves, the timeless elegance of Premium Hotels, the vibrant local flavour of Select Hotels, or the practical simplicity of Essentials, Jetwing Hotels remains committed to creating meaningful journeys that celebrate Sri Lanka’s beauty, culture, and spirit.
