Hilton Partners with Mars Petcare & Greater Good Charities to Aid Animal Shelters

Hilton, in partnership with Mars Petcare US, Inc. and Greater Good Charities, has launched an initiative to donate over 140,000 pounds of retired towels and terry products from its hotel properties to local animal shelters across the United States and Canada.

As part of Hilton's effort to enhance the guest experience, they are replacing their current towels with higher quality, softer, and more durable terry products. Through collaboration with Mars Petcare, Hilton identified the critical need for towels in animal shelters. These towels are essential for maintaining animal hygiene, ensuring their comfort, and supporting rescue missions.

Through this collaboration, over 1,000 Hilton-branded properties will donate more than 100,000 towels and terry products to hundreds of animal shelters, potentially benefiting up to 70,000 shelter animals. Not only will this initiative support the communities where Hilton operates, but it will also reduce environmental impact by diverting retired products from landfills.

Anu Saxena, president & global head of Hilton Supply Management, expressed the company's commitment to creating a positive impact on communities while providing a great stay for guests. The program aligns with Hilton's Travel with Purpose initiative, aiming to reduce waste to landfill by 50% by 2030.

Greater Good Charities CEO Liz Baker praised the program for its positive outcomes for shelter pets, the environment, and the people caring for them.
