Hyatt Regency Chennai recently inaugurated a library at Presidency Girls School in Egmore, Chennai, filled with over 1,000 books. This initiative stemmed from the hotel's commitment to supporting education and community development.

The endeavor began with a book donation campaign in 2023, where Hyatt Regency Chennai collected books for students ranging from nursery to class 12. The library was formally commissioned in the presence of school officials, students, and the hotel management team.

Ruban Das, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Chennai, expressed his delight at witnessing the joy on the faces of the young students as they received the donated books. He emphasized Hyatt's dedication to supporting organizations that align with their ethos of caring for people, noting that nothing compares to the happiness brought by charitable acts.

The library inauguration coincided with the hotel's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on December 1st, 2023. As part of their sustainability efforts, Hyatt Regency Chennai crafted a unique 20-foot Christmas tree from donated children's storybooks, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Chennai. Following the event, these books were gifted to Presidency Girls School, fostering a love for reading among the students.

This thoughtful gesture not only enriches the school's library resources but also underscores Hyatt Regency Chennai's commitment to supporting education and nurturing future generations. The inaugural ceremony was a joyous occasion for all involved, setting the stage for further collaboration and community development efforts.
