Hyatt Regency Chennai brought together jazz, food and festive celebrations with Jazztober Fest 2026, a ten-day celebration held from September 18 to 27. The festival combined live jazz performances with Oktoberfest-inspired food and beverage experiences, creating a lively setting for music and food enthusiasts.
The festival opened on September 18 with an electro-jazz performance by Rajni Shivaram & Eric Gerald, setting the tone for the musical programme. The celebrations continued with a jazz-led Saturday night featuring Circle of Love, followed by a jazz karaoke evening with Nami, giving guests different ways to enjoy the genre.
From September 21 to 24, the festival added an Oktoberfest-inspired culinary experience featuring German-style platters, beer pairings and special bar offerings. Guests were served complimentary bar munchies such as caramelized beer nuts, spiced pretzels and fried olives with garlic dip, along with curated sharing platters.
The vegetarian selection included Sticky Vegan Ribs, Mushroom Forestier Pie, Cajun-Rubbed Vegetable Brochettes, Flammkuchen, roasted potatoes, a German soft pretzel and sauerkraut. The Bavarian Sausage Board featured chicken and pork sausages, beer-glazed chicken wings and classic mustard accompaniments.
The festival concluded with the J4JAZZ Weekender, held at The Lobby Lounge from September 25 to 27. The three-day musical celebration featured Around the World, Radha Thomas Quartet, Shanks & Lauren, Inga, Purple Mints and Skip. The evenings continued with after-parties at 365 A.S. Bar, extending the celebrations into the night.
Reflecting on the festival, Puneet Baijal, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Chennai, said, "Jazztober Fest 2026 was envisioned as a celebration that brought together the energy of live music, the joy of good food and the warmth of shared experiences. Over ten days, we were delighted to see guests come together to enjoy the diverse sounds of jazz, explore our specially curated culinary and beverage experiences and celebrate the spirit of the season. The wonderful response to the festival and the J4JAZZ Weekender made it a memorable chapter for us at Hyatt Regency Chennai, and we look forward to creating more such distinctive experiences for our guests."
With jazz performances, Oktoberfest-inspired flavours, live music and after-hours celebrations, Jazztober Fest 2026 brought together music and gastronomy at Hyatt Regency Chennai over ten days.
