Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) is poised for a significant transformation in the hospitality sector across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East (EAME) with an ambitious growth plan outlined for 2024 and beyond. This strategic move follows an exceptional year of deal signings in 2023, as Hyatt aims to solidify its standing as the preferred brand for guests, customers, and owners.

The company reports a record-breaking pipeline, boasting 127,000 rooms globally as of year-end 2023, constituting nearly 40% of its existing portfolio. Noteworthy markets in focus include Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, and Greece.

As part of its strategic brand expansions, Hyatt introduces AluaSoul Costa Adeje and Palace de Muro. AluaSoul Costa Adeje, slated for a late 2024 opening, is positioned as an Inclusive Collection resort in Tenerife. Simultaneously, Palace de Muro, set to open in 2024, represents a Destination by Hyatt property located in Alcúdia, Mallorca.

These planned projects in Spain, under the ownership of Stoneweg, mark a collaborative effort to drive brand growth in the region. AluaSoul Costa Adeje, featuring 226 rooms, promises a vibrant experience on the Adeje coast in Tenerife, catering to guests seeking a lively and enjoyable getaway. Palace de Muro, with 184 rooms, offers a tranquil retreat near the Albufera natural park, tailored to guests' every need.

Miguel Casas, Managing Director of Stoneweg Hospitality, expresses enthusiasm about these collaborations, emphasizing dedication to growth and excellence in hotel experiences. The joint projects not only strengthen Hyatt's brand presence in the region but also signify the realization of exceptional visions for guests.

Hyatt places a strategic focus on the growing popularity of the all-inclusive segment, intending to expand its Inclusive Collection in 2024. Key openings include Dreams Madeira Resort, Spa & Marina, and Zoëtry Halkidiki Resort & Spa, reflecting the commitment to meeting the evolving preferences of travelers.

The EAME pipeline encompasses over 70 properties across Hyatt's diverse brand collections. The Timeless Collection, marked by significant expansion in 2024, reinforces Hyatt's presence in key primary markets. This includes two additions to the Park Hyatt brand, following the notable opening of Park Hyatt Marrakech in December 2023. Additionally, select service brands such as Hyatt House and Hyatt Place continue to facilitate Hyatt's entry into secondary markets.

The Boundless Collection, featuring four Thompson Hotels properties, including the recently opened Thompson Madrid, aims to deliver best-in-class offerings and unique experiences. In the realm of the Inclusive Collection, luxury all-inclusive resorts continue to offer immersive and elevated experiences, aligning with the changing preferences of travelers.

Hyatt's strategic expansion plan in EAME represents a transformative era in the travel industry. It underscores the company's commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, adapting to evolving guest preferences, and capturing the allure of the growing all-inclusive segment. This bold move promises an exciting chapter for both Hyatt and its guests, reinforcing its position as a preferred hospitality brand in key markets.

In a significant recognition for luxury wellness hospitality, Banyan Tree Samui has been named the “Best Spa Resort – Thailand” at the Global Spa Awards 2026, presented by The Luxury Spa Edit.

The award reflects a combination of expert panel evaluations, insights from global travel journalists and sustainability specialists, and over 85,000 public votes, reinforcing the resort’s strong positioning in the global wellness space.

At the heart of this recognition is the resort’s integrated approach to holistic wellbeing. The spa experience at Banyan Tree Samui goes beyond traditional treatments, offering a thoughtfully curated journey rooted in its “8 Pillars of Wellbeing” philosophy, focusing on rest, nourishment, mindfulness, movement, and personal growth.

A standout feature is its signature hydrotherapy facility, The Rainforest, which takes guests through a multi-sensory circuit of water jets, saunas, steam rooms, ice fountains, and vitality pools. This immersive experience has become a defining element of the resort’s wellness offering.

Speaking on the achievement, Naphasawan Badklang, Spa & Gallery Manager, credited the team’s rigorous training at the Banyan Spa & Wellbeing Academy and their commitment to delivering personalised guest experiences. Each treatment begins with a detailed consultation, followed by customised herbal oils and signature rituals that include sound healing, breathwork, and traditional techniques.

The award also coincides with the rollout of Banyan Tree Spa 2.0, an evolved concept that blends ancient Asian healing practices with modern wellness techniques. From personalised therapies to curated closing rituals featuring herbal foot cleansing and tea ceremonies, the experience is designed to create a deeper sense of relaxation and renewal.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Koh Samui’s Lamai Bay, the resort’s 88 private pool villas further enhance the sense of seclusion and calm. Complemented by curated dining experiences, wellness programmes, and nature-integrated design, the property continues to offer a sanctuary for travellers seeking both luxury and restoration.

With this recognition, Banyan Tree Samui strengthens its reputation as one of Asia’s leading wellness destinations, setting new benchmarks for immersive and experience-driven hospitality.
