Accessible to customers registered on the iberia.com website and members of the Iberia Plus loyalty program, this service requires passengers to provide their phone numbers during booking to receive messages.

This move by Iberia Airlines marks a significant improvement in customer service. With approximately 80,000 notifications sent weekly to over 25,000 passengers, the airline ensures that travelers are well-prepared for their journey. The service not only streamlines the travel experience by providing vital flight information but also enables passengers to ask questions directly through WhatsApp. An AI-powered chatbot initially handles inquiries, with the option for a customer service agent to intervene for more complex issues.

By adopting WhatsApp, one of Spain's most popular communication platforms, Iberia aligns its services with customer preferences.
