ibis, one of Accor’s fastest-growing and most trusted economy hospitality brands, has announced the appointment of Sachin Maheshwary as Cluster General Manager for ibis Mumbai. The move strengthens the brand’s leadership presence in one of its most dynamic and high-demand markets in India.
With more than two decades of experience across luxury, upscale, and economy segments, Sachin brings strong operational knowledge along with a people-first leadership approach. His journey in hospitality includes hotel pre-openings, large renovation projects, food and beverage innovation, and driving performance across varied market conditions. In his new role, he will lead the ibis portfolio in Mumbai, with a clear focus on improving daily operations, enhancing guest experiences, and building steady, long-term growth in the city.
Commenting on the appointment, Tejus Jose, Director of Operations, ibis and ibis Styles India, said, “Sachin is a leader who understands hotels from the inside out. He has a strong feel for operations, a genuine connection with people, and a sharp sense of how brands need to evolve to stay relevant. Mumbai is a very demanding market, and ibis has a significant opportunity here. We believe Sachin’s experience, energy, and collaborative leadership style will help our hotels raise the bar on performance, guest satisfaction, and consistency across the portfolio.”
Sachin has earlier held senior leadership roles with Accor and IHCL, where he led several hotel pre-openings, managed renovation projects, and developed award-winning food and beverage concepts. Most recently, he was the General Manager of Novotel Goa Resort and Spa and Novotel Goa Candolim. Alongside this, he also served as F&B Alchemist for Accor India and South Asia, working closely with teams across markets to encourage culinary innovation, strengthen brand storytelling, and create engaging dining experiences.

In her new position, Richa will lead the hotel’s sales and marketing initiatives, focusing on driving business growth across key segments such as corporate, MICE, and social events. Her appointment comes at a time when the property continues to strengthen its market presence in the capital.
Prior to joining Novotel, Richa was associated with Hyatt Regency Delhi, where she played an instrumental role in enhancing sales performance and implementing high-impact strategies. Over the years, she has worked with leading hospitality brands including Hyatt, Radisson Hotel Group, and IHG Hotels & Resorts, building deep expertise across corporate and events segments. Her early career experience with Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines has further shaped her strong customer-centric approach.

Crowne Plaza Greater Noida has announced the elevation of Shawali Gupta to the role of Marketing Manager, acknowledging her strong contributions to the hotel’s marketing and communications efforts.
Since joining the property in 2024 as Assistant Manager – Marketing & Communications, Shawali has played a key role in enhancing brand visibility and executing high-impact campaigns across digital and on-ground platforms. Over the past 1.5 years, she has led integrated marketing initiatives for the hotel’s 398 rooms and its diverse dining portfolio, including Mosaic, Spice Art, Chao Bella, BBC, and Mosaic Pastry Lounge.
In her new role, she will lead the overall marketing strategy, focusing on digital ecosystems, brand storytelling, and performance-driven campaigns. Shawali has been closely involved in managing key IHG platforms such as Boost, Merlin, Medallia, Brand Warehouse, and Concerto. Her responsibilities have also included overseeing social media strategy, influencer collaborations, PR outreach, and content development aligned with global brand standards.
With over nine years of experience across hospitality and media, Shawali brings a well-rounded perspective to her role. Before joining Crowne Plaza Greater Noida, she worked with leading media organisations such as Times Network, Network18 Media & Investments Limited, and The Times of India, where she specialised in social media strategy, content optimisation, and audience engagement.
Her hospitality experience includes working with The Oberoi Group, where she supported marketing and communications for The Oberoi Gurgaon and Trident Gurgaon, contributing to campaign planning and brand storytelling across both properties. She began her career with iDiva, part of Times Internet, building a strong foundation in digital content and audience growth.
An alumna of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication and Patna Women's College, Shawali holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Media and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. She is known for combining creativity with analytics to deliver measurable marketing outcomes.
