Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), in partnership with Tata STRIVE, has launched a specialized skill centre in Ponda, Goa. The collaboration aims to provide the youth of Goa with job-oriented skills, fostering their employability and career prospects. The state-of-the-art skill centre is equipped to train 400 learners in five job-oriented courses across various sectors, including healthcare, hospitality, IT services, and electrical and air conditioning service technicians.

The skill centre offers a unique approach to skill development, combining domain-specific training with Tata STRIVE's signature Youth Development Module, which imparts essential life skills for achieving work-life balance. Upon completing the courses, learners will receive support for securing employment opportunities or pursuing entrepreneurship.

Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President - Human Resources at IHCL, emphasized that the collaboration aligns seamlessly with IHCL's ESG + framework, Paathya, which focuses on building a talented workforce and addressing the employability gap. He expressed delight in partnering with Tata STRIVE to empower the youth in the region.
