Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India's largest hospitality brand, has announced the signing of a SeleQtions suburban resort in Amritsar, Punjab. The upcoming luxury property, set across 10 acres, will cater to both leisure and business travelers while offering breathtaking views and world-class hospitality.
Speaking on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, EVP - Real Estate & Development, IHCL, stated:
"Amritsar, a renowned destination for leisure and pilgrimage, attracts visitors from across the globe. Along with its cultural significance, the city’s rapidly growing manufacturing sector is driving an increase in business travel. This signing aligns with IHCL’s strategy of expanding in key cultural and commercial markets."
The 100-key SeleQtions Amritsar will feature spacious rooms with private outdoor decks, providing a serene retreat for guests. Designed as a social events destination, the property includes a 10,000 sq. ft. banquet space, beautifully landscaped gardens, tranquil water features, and walking paths.

Guests will also enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness centre, an outdoor pool, and a rejuvenating spa, offering holistic wellness therapies.

Amritsar, home to the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah Border, is a key destination for domestic and international tourists. The city’s growing economy in textiles, agriculture, and manufacturing further strengthens its position as a prime hospitality hub.
With this new signing, IHCL will have five hotels in Punjab, including four under development, reinforcing its commitment to expanding premium hospitality in India.
