Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), renowned for its prestigious Taj brand, is expanding its footprint in Rajasthan with a new resort in Pushkar, in collaboration with Master Resorts and Spa. This move aligns with IHCL’s strategy to enhance its presence in key tourist destinations across India.
Located near the iconic Pushkar Lake and the Brahma Temple, the new 110-room resort is designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers. The resort will boast a variety of dining options, state-of-the-art recreational facilities, and expansive event spaces including a 7,500 square foot ballroom and meeting areas, ideal for hosting diverse events.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, expressed enthusiasm about the new project, stating, “Pushkar is not only a city with rich spiritual heritage but also hosts the globally recognized Pushkar camel fair. Our new Taj resort will enhance the hospitality offerings in the region and provide guests with a unique blend of luxury and tradition. This project marks our debut in Pushkar and adds a new dimension to our already strong presence in Rajasthan.”
Chander Manghani, Director of Master Resorts and Spa, shared similar sentiments: “Partnering with IHCL to bring the Taj brand to Pushkar is a significant milestone. We are excited to set a new standard for luxury hospitality in the area and look forward to welcoming guests to experience world-class service in a stunning setting.”
The addition of the Pushkar resort will increase IHCL’s portfolio in Rajasthan to 28 hotels, including eight under development, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its luxury hotel network across the state.
This expansion in Rajasthan is part of a broader growth strategy for IHCL, which also includes new projects in West Bengal and Kerala, further solidifying its position as a leader in India’s hospitality industry.
