The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has named Ranjit Phillipose as its Senior Vice President of Operations for the region. With an illustrious career spanning three decades within IHCL, Phillipose brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to his new role.
Phillipose's journey with IHCL began in 1993 at Taj Coromandel, Chennai, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a keen eye for hotel management. Over the years, he has spearheaded pre-opening task forces in various locations, showcasing his versatility and strategic acumen. His international assignments in London and the United States, including notable positions at The Pierre in New York and Taj Boston, further highlight his global expertise.
As General Manager of Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives, Phillipose showcased his ability to lead and drive success. His subsequent roles as Area Director for Goa and General Manager of Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa, solidified his strategic leadership in the region. His contributions extended to Taj Dubai, where he played a pivotal role in its successful launch and positioning in key markets.
Phillipose's achievements have earned him prestigious recognition, including features in the Forbes Middle East Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders and the Hotelier Middle East Executive Power 50 List. His recent accolade as International Achiever of the Year – Hospitality at the 2023 PATWA International Travel Award at ITB Berlin further underscores his influence in the global hospitality sphere.
In his new role, Phillipose will oversee IHCL's operations in Goa, leading a portfolio of over 30 units and a workforce of 2500 personnel. His people-centric approach emphasizes the importance of nurturing meaningful relationships within the organization and the communities it serves, reflecting IHCL's commitment to excellence in hospitality.
With Phillipose at the helm, IHCL is poised to chart new horizons of success in Goa's evolving tourism landscape, delivering exceptional experiences and fostering growth for the region.
