The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, has announced the opening of its second Ginger hotel in Jammu and Kashmir, situated in the Barzulla district of Srinagar. The new 64-key property is conveniently located near Srinagar Airport and iconic tourist spots such as Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh, Shankaracharya Temple, and Jama Masjid, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses at IHCL, expressed her enthusiasm at the launch, stating, “In line with IHCL’s vision to strengthen its presence in key destinations across India, we are excited to unveil Ginger Srinagar. The city’s growing infrastructure, combined with its status as one of the country’s top travel destinations, makes it a focal point for business and leisure travelers alike. This new addition is well positioned to meet the rising demand in the region.”
Ginger Srinagar offers IHCL’s signature "lean luxe" experience, combining contemporary style with comfort. Guests can enjoy a modern stay with all essential amenities, including "Qmin," the hotel's all-day diner, serving a variety of dishes that cater to a diverse range of tastes, making it ideal for business lunches and casual dining.
Srinagar, renowned for its stunning landscapes, historical gardens, and vibrant cultural scene, continues to be a commercial hub in the Kashmir region. The addition of this new property further strengthens IHCL’s presence in Jammu and Kashmir, bringing its total number of hotels in the region to six.
The Indian Hotels Company Limited, known for offering world-class service through its various brands including Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger, continues to expand its footprint across India’s most sought-after destinations. With Ginger revolutionising the lean luxe segment, IHCL is well-positioned to cater to the needs of the modern traveller while maintaining its hallmark of warm Indian hospitality.
