Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has expanded its presence in Kerala with the signing of a new Taj-branded resort in Kollam, marking its first property in the region. Situated along the scenic Thirumullavaram Beach, this Brownfield project spans across 13 acres, offering nearly 600 feet of pristine beachfront.
The upcoming Taj resort will boast 205 rooms, each offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea, enhancing the stay experience for guests seeking tranquillity and luxury by the coast.
Featuring a comprehensive array of amenities, guests can indulge in culinary delights at the all-day diner and a specialty vegetarian restaurant. Additionally, a stylish bar, a rejuvenating spa, a refreshing swimming pool, and a well-equipped gym will cater to the leisure and wellness needs of visitors.
With over 20,000 square feet of banqueting space and expansive lawns, the resort is poised to become a preferred venue for both corporate gatherings and social events, further enriching the hospitality landscape of Kollam.
IHCL Managing Director and CEO, Puneet Chhatwal, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “With this signing, we further strengthen IHCL’s long standing presence in Kerala. Kollam, known for its picturesque landscapes and cultural heritage, holds immense potential as a prominent tourist destination. We are pleased to collaborate with Mr. Paul Chacko for this hotel.”
This addition to IHCL's portfolio reflects the company's commitment to expanding its footprint across key leisure destinations in India. With 20 properties across various brands in Kerala, including six under development, IHCL continues to play a significant role in shaping the hospitality landscape of the region.
