Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has exciting news as it announced the signing of its first hotel in Jorhat, Assam, under the renowned Ginger brand. The new hotel will be a Greenfield project on a fully fitted lease and will embrace the brand's lean luxe design and service philosophy, offering a vibrant, contemporary, and seamless hospitality experience to its guests.
"IHCL is very committed to North East India and has been expanding rapidly in the region. Jorhat, a thriving city, is an important center for tea trading and the gateway to leading tourist destinations in Assam. We are delighted to partner with Mr. Kamal Jain for this Ginger hotel," said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development, IHCL.

The 100-key hotel will enjoy a strategic location on Club Road, conveniently adjacent to Jorhat Gymkhana, the third oldest golf club in the world, and a short driving distance from the airport. To enhance guests' culinary experience, the hotel will feature Qmin, the signature all-day-diner, offering a wide range of delectable culinary options. Additionally, there will be a well-equipped fitness center and meeting rooms to cater to the needs of business and leisure travelers alike.
Mr. Kamal Jain expressed excitement about the association with IHCL, India's leading hospitality company. He added, "This will be the first Ginger hotel in Jorhat."
Jorhat holds significant importance as the cultural capital of Assam and serves as a hub for tea traders and golf enthusiasts in the North East. It also serves as a key transit point to Majuli, the world's largest riverine island, and the famous Kaziranga National Park.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will further strengthen its presence in Assam, having a total of five hotels in the region, including three under development.
