IHCL Opens Ginger Guwahati Aerocity with 31 Keys

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the opening of Ginger Guwahati, Aerocity in Assam, expanding its presence in the Northeast and adding a new 31-key property to its Ginger portfolio.

Located on New Airport Road, Ginger Guwahati, Aerocity offers comfortable accommodation with city views, along with dining and meeting facilities designed for both business and leisure travellers.

Commenting on the opening, Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Select Service Business, IHCL, said, “With the opening of Ginger Guwahati, the brand continues to expand its presence in key markets across the country. As the gateway to Northeast India, Guwahati is an important commercial and travel hub.”

The hotel features 31 rooms and Ginger’s signature all-day dining restaurant, Qmin, which offers a selection of global and regional cuisines. Guests can also unwind at the hotel's bar, adding to the property's food and beverage offering.

For business and social requirements, Ginger Guwahati, Aerocity includes a meeting and conference room suited to intimate meetings and gatherings.

The opening adds to Guwahati's growing hospitality infrastructure as the city continues to serve as an important gateway to Northeast India. Located on the banks of the Brahmaputra, Guwahati is known for river cruises, hilltop shrines and its role as a centre for commerce, tourism and education in the region.

The new property also strengthens Ginger's presence within IHCL's wider portfolio as the brand continues to expand across key business and travel destinations in India.

With the addition of Ginger Guwahati, Aerocity, IHCL's portfolio now stands at 660 hotels, including 274 in the pipeline, across four continents, 15 countries and more than 300 locations globally.
