This greenfield project, in partnership with Tivoli Group, will mark the luxury brand’s latest addition to Haryana’s growing hospitality sector.

The upcoming Taj hotel will feature 225 spacious guest rooms and suites, each crafted with an emphasis on luxury and comfort. Catering to a wide range of guests, the property will offer an array of culinary options including an all-day diner, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a multipurpose lounge. Additionally, the hotel will house extensive banqueting and meeting facilities, making it an ideal destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events and weddings.

“The strategic location of Gurgaon, combined with its proximity to key industrial corridors and Delhi-NCR, has turned it into a thriving commercial hub,” stated Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL. “This new Taj hotel will provide a premium experience for diverse segments, including MICE and weddings. We are excited to partner with the Tivoli Group to bring this project to life.”

The Taj hotel on Sohna Road will also offer recreational facilities such as a gym, spa, swimming pool, and a social garden, enhancing the guest experience with a balanced blend of relaxation and activity. The hotel's design is inspired by its surroundings, offering panoramic views of the Aravali Hills, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Commenting on the partnership, Armaan Gupta, Executive Director of Tivoli Group, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with IHCL on this project. The new Taj at Sohna Road will cater to the growing demand for luxury hospitality experiences in the region. With this addition, IHCL strengthens its presence in Haryana, bringing the total to six hotels, including two currently under development. Gurugram's emergence as a corporate hub, home to multinational corporations and major IT companies, makes it an ideal location for such a premium hotel offering.

Armaan Gupta, who has been instrumental in planning this development, shared how the Tivoli Group has engaged top international architects to create a design that reflects both the natural beauty of the region and the brand’s luxurious standards. Along with his father, Puneet Gupta, Managing Director and Founder of Tivoli Group, Armaan continues to lead the company’s expansion in the hospitality sector.

The new Taj hotel is set to become a landmark in South Gurugram, offering guests a serene escape while delivering the signature Taj experience—where luxury, comfort, and cultural richness come together seamlessly.

In a significant recognition for luxury wellness hospitality, Banyan Tree Samui has been named the “Best Spa Resort – Thailand” at the Global Spa Awards 2026, presented by The Luxury Spa Edit.

The award reflects a combination of expert panel evaluations, insights from global travel journalists and sustainability specialists, and over 85,000 public votes, reinforcing the resort’s strong positioning in the global wellness space.

At the heart of this recognition is the resort’s integrated approach to holistic wellbeing. The spa experience at Banyan Tree Samui goes beyond traditional treatments, offering a thoughtfully curated journey rooted in its “8 Pillars of Wellbeing” philosophy, focusing on rest, nourishment, mindfulness, movement, and personal growth.

A standout feature is its signature hydrotherapy facility, The Rainforest, which takes guests through a multi-sensory circuit of water jets, saunas, steam rooms, ice fountains, and vitality pools. This immersive experience has become a defining element of the resort’s wellness offering.

Speaking on the achievement, Naphasawan Badklang, Spa & Gallery Manager, credited the team’s rigorous training at the Banyan Spa & Wellbeing Academy and their commitment to delivering personalised guest experiences. Each treatment begins with a detailed consultation, followed by customised herbal oils and signature rituals that include sound healing, breathwork, and traditional techniques.

The award also coincides with the rollout of Banyan Tree Spa 2.0, an evolved concept that blends ancient Asian healing practices with modern wellness techniques. From personalised therapies to curated closing rituals featuring herbal foot cleansing and tea ceremonies, the experience is designed to create a deeper sense of relaxation and renewal.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Koh Samui’s Lamai Bay, the resort’s 88 private pool villas further enhance the sense of seclusion and calm. Complemented by curated dining experiences, wellness programmes, and nature-integrated design, the property continues to offer a sanctuary for travellers seeking both luxury and restoration.

With this recognition, Banyan Tree Samui strengthens its reputation as one of Asia’s leading wellness destinations, setting new benchmarks for immersive and experience-driven hospitality.
