IHCL to Open Seventh Taj Hotel in Bengaluru

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of its seventh Taj property in Bengaluru. This new addition reflects IHCL’s ongoing strategy to expand its presence in major cities and meet the rising demand for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), as well as weddings.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, stated, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s strategy of strengthening our presence in metro cities and catering to the growing demand for MICE and weddings. Bengaluru, as a major IT and business hub, offers an ideal setting for creating demand for leisure getaways and events within convenient driving distances from the city. We are excited to collaborate with BCM GROUP and Rajesh Mehta on this project and look forward to delivering the quintessential Taj experience.”

The new Taj resort will span 14 acres and feature more than 225 rooms. It will be strategically located near key destinations in Bengaluru. The resort will include an all-day diner, two specialty restaurants, a poolside lounge bar, and a 20,000-square-foot ballroom with 11 flexible meeting rooms and additional banqueting spaces. Guests will also have access to a state-of-the-art gym, a health club, a swimming pool, and treatment rooms for relaxation.

Rishabh Mehta and Rohit Mehta, Directors at BCM Group, remarked, "We are excited to collaborate with IHCL, India's leading hospitality company. The resort will cater to the city's dynamic mix of business and leisure travellers.”

Bengaluru, known as the Silicon Valley of India, is a key city in Karnataka, renowned for its technological and economic advancements. With this new hotel, IHCL will now operate 20 properties in Karnataka, including seven under development.
