IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a global hospitality leader, in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Thailand's premier lifestyle real estate group, is set to transform Chiang Rai into a luxurious destination. The two companies have announced their collaboration to open two new opulent hotels in this culturally rich area of Thailand.

Slated to open in 2025, InterContinental Chiang Rai Golden Triangle Resort promises an exclusive experience with 68 one- and two-bedroom pool and plunge pool villas. In parallel, Kimpton Chiang Rai Golden Triangle will emerge from the existing Imperial Golden Triangle Resort, undergoing extensive renovations to feature 68 suites and a myriad of facilities, all under the Kimpton brand.

These resorts will mark IHG’s foray into Thailand’s famed Golden Triangle, an area celebrated for its historical significance, Lanna culture, and picturesque landscapes that border Laos and Myanmar. This venture aims to attract travelers seeking an immersive cultural and scenic experience.

Rajit Sukumaran, Managing Director of South East Asia and Korea at IHG, views this expansion as a testament to the decade-long IHG-AWC relationship. He states, “This venture is not just an expansion but a commitment to offer explorative opportunities in northern Thailand, aligning with our goal to grow our luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the country by 50%.”

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, CEO and President of AWC, envisions this project as a transformative step for Chiang Rai, enhancing its status as a luxury ecotourism destination. She emphasizes the unique cultural and sustainable experiences the region offers, from local villages and hilltribes to organic ventures. These resorts, with their riverfront locations, promise diverse experiences like dining cruises and wellness retreats, further enriching Chiang Rai's hospitality landscape and contributing to sustainable tourism.

Located an hour from Mae Fah Luang – Chiang Rai International Airport and within a 90-minute drive from Chiang Rai city, the resorts offer a serene jungle setting with stunning views of the Mekong River and the neighboring countries of Laos and Myanmar.

With 34 hotels across nine brands and 39 in the pipeline, Thailand remains a pivotal growth market for IHG. The company is on track to double its presence in the country in the next three to five years, cementing its position as a leader in the global hospitality industry.

ELIVAAS has strengthened its presence in Jim Corbett with the launch of five new hospitality experiences Farm Naturelle, Sylvaara, Puvalgarh Farms, Aranya Library, and Dhela Jungle Retreat, expanding its portfolio in one of India's fastest-growing wildlife and leisure destinations.

The expansion reflects the evolving preferences of modern travellers, who are increasingly seeking immersive, experience-led holidays over conventional hotel stays. Together, the five properties offer diverse accommodation formats ranging from luxury farm stays and boutique retreats to private villas and full-service resort experiences, all underpinned by ELIVAAS' focus on personalised hospitality.

Farm Naturelle is an eight-acre farm retreat surrounded by orchards, organic farmland, and lush green landscapes, offering guests a luxury villa experience inspired by slow rural living.

Sylvaara has been designed as an intimate boutique retreat, catering to couples, families, and small groups looking for contemporary luxury amidst nature.

Puvalgarh Farms combines the charm of an English countryside estate with the serenity of Jim Corbett's wilderness. The property features a four-bedroom villa and a cottage-style suite, making it ideal for exclusive family holidays and group getaways.

Aranya Library introduces thoughtfully designed row villas featuring landscaped surroundings, dedicated reading spaces, and private accommodations suited for extended family vacations and longer stays.

Completing the collection, Dhela Jungle Retreat offers a nature-inspired resort experience with spacious suites, duplex accommodations, dining venues, and recreational facilities designed to complement the natural landscape of Jim Corbett.

Across all five properties, guests can enjoy curated destination experiences including wildlife safaris, bonfire evenings, farm activities, outdoor dining, private celebrations, and personalised concierge services, allowing visitors to experience Jim Corbett beyond the traditional hotel stay.
