IHG® Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hotel industry, has made a significant move by joining forces with NK Sharma Hospitality Pvt Ltd. Together, they will bring two new outstanding hotels to the Chandigarh tri-city area. These hotels include the luxurious Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and the ever-popular Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur.
Scheduled for a grand opening in January 2027, these hotels are poised to make a lasting impression in the region. By adding more than 350 keys to IHG's portfolio in Punjab, this dual signing will undoubtedly enhance the company's presence in the area.
Strategically located in Zirakpur, right next to National Highway 22, one of India's busiest highways, these hotels will attract travelers from various nearby cities and towns. Their accessibility and location make them perfect for both leisure and business travelers.
Once operational, both Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will offer extensive meeting and banquet facilities, boasting approximately 100,000 square feet of meeting space. This makes them ideal for hosting weddings, conferences, and events, catering to the needs of Zirakpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Dera Bassi. Additionally, their proximity to Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand positions them as ideal stopovers for leisure travelers exploring the northern regions.

The Leela Gandhinagar marked Earth Hour 2026 with a focused set of sustainability-driven initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to responsible hospitality and environmental stewardship.
As part of the global movement, the hotel switched off non-essential lighting and reduced power consumption across key areas for 60 minutes, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
