IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in hospitality, has announced a new venture in the picturesque city of Karjat, Maharashtra. The company has signed a management agreement with XECO Media LLP to introduce the Holiday Inn Resort Karjat, slated to welcome guests in 2027. This addition of 150 keys to IHG’s portfolio underlines the company's dedication to expanding its reach in India's leisure destinations.
The upcoming resort will be nestled in the serene town of Karjat, equally accessible from the bustling cities of Mumbai and Pune. Karjat is renowned for its scenic beauty, enchanting landscapes, historical caves, lush green valleys, and iconic temples, making it a sought-after escape for urban dwellers. The Holiday Inn Resort Karjat, surrounded by verdant greenery and farmlands, with views of a seasonal stream, aims to provide a perfect amalgamation of modern luxury and natural splendor.
Designed to cater to adventure enthusiasts, hikers, and leisure travelers, the resort is positioned as an ideal retreat from both Mumbai and Pune. The Holiday Inn Resort Karjat will feature amenities including an all-day dining facility, a bar, and a cozy lobby lounge. For events and business needs, the resort will offer banquet facilities, meeting rooms, and a dynamic business center. Guests looking for relaxation can enjoy the fully-equipped gym and an exclusive health club.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed excitement about expanding the Holiday Inn Resorts brand to Karjat. Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. has further deepened its roots in Mysuru with the launch of Regenta Resort Tropical Villages, a one-of-its-kind experiential property nestled in a tranquil setting. With this, ROHL now operates five hotels in the city, underscoring its dedication to Mysuru’s growing tourism and hospitality landscape.
This new resort stands out for its concept—35 uniquely themed cottages, each inspired by different architectural and cultural elements from around the world. Adding to this immersive experience is Mangala Kutira, an exclusive accommodation block with 12 rooms designed around India’s ancient Pancha Bhootas and Pancha Tattva philosophies. The goal? To offer a soulful, culturally diverse escape that goes beyond traditional leisure.

Built to cater to both leisure and business travellers, the resort features a robust wellness offering with a yoga hall, therapy center, and eco-friendly swimming pool. Culinary diversity also takes centre stage with an all-day dining restaurant, a dedicated non-vegetarian kitchen, and a Healthy Bar serving detox juices and traditional health drinks.
Guests can enjoy traditional games from Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, while kids have their own play zones. Sprawled across over 12,000 sq. ft. of lush lawns, the resort is also equipped to host destination weddings, corporate events, and intimate gatherings.
This new addition is in line with ROHL’s asset-light expansion model and signals the brand’s growing focus on cultural immersion, wellness, and sustainable hospitality.
In a heartfelt gesture of social responsibility and community care, The LaLiT Chandigarh recently hosted a blood donation camp in collaboration with Command Hospital Chandimandir (Western Command), Vishvas Foundation, and Red Cross Chandigarh. Held on July 24th, 2025, the initiative aimed to support critical healthcare services while encouraging a spirit of compassion and civic duty among participants.
True to its #WeCare philosophy, the hotel witnessed active participation from its team members, who volunteered wholeheartedly to donate blood. The initiative reflects the hotel’s deep-rooted commitment to wellness, community outreach, and social impact.
