IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its footprint in South West Asia with the signing of a new management agreement for the Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj in Nepal. This partnership with Mansarovar Amusement Park & Resort marks a significant step in strengthening IHG’s presence in the region. The resort, expected to open its doors in early 2028, is strategically located near Nepalgunj Airport and the India-Nepal border, making it a prime destination for both leisure and business travelers.
The new property will boast more than 100 rooms, catering to a diverse range of guests, including those interested in leisure, business, and blended travel experiences. The resort will also offer exceptional meeting and conference facilities, featuring two meeting rooms and a large ballroom, designed to meet the growing demand for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) in the area.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts South West Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: “The Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj is a key addition to our portfolio, enhancing our offering in Nepal and providing guests with top-tier accommodations and services in a strategic location.”
Om Prakash Mishra, Managing Director of Mansarovar Amusement Park & Resort, also shared his excitement about the collaboration: “Partnering with IHG Hotels & Resorts allows us to leverage their global reputation and robust loyalty programs to bring a world-class hospitality experience to Nepalgunj.”
Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, known for its premium services and facilities, operates over 520 properties globally, with a strong presence in South West Asia. This new development in Nepalgunj is part of IHG’s broader expansion strategy in the region, which includes a pipeline of 64 hotels set to open in the next three to five years.
IHG continues to strengthen its brand presence globally with recent introductions of new luxury and lifestyle hotels in various destinations, including Vietnam. The opening of Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj will further cement IHG’s commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences around the world.
For those seeking the latest in luxury travel accommodations and business facilities, the upcoming Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj promises to be a noteworthy addition to IHG’s growing portfolio in South West Asia.
