The IIHM Institute of Hospitality Skills (IIHS), India's largest training centre affiliated with the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), has opened its state-of-the-art facility in Delhi. With a focus on vocational training and bridging the skill gap in the hospitality industry, IIHS aims to provide comprehensive courses to professionals seeking to upskill and enhance their career prospects. The centre is part of the Skill India mission and aims to collaborate with Skill India and THSC to train skilled hospitality workers.
IIHS plans to open 100 centres across the country in the next two years and educate 100,000 young unemployed professionals, helping them join the thriving hospitality industry. The courses offered at IIHS cover a wide range of areas and are available at all IIHM campuses across India.
In addition to the core courses, IIHS offers short-term skill-based programs focusing on various aspects of hotel operations, including cooking, baking, concierge services, front-office operations, housekeeping, and more. These programs also incorporate knowledge on essential topics like FSSAI regulations, safety training, and overall management skills. IIHS certifications are recognized by government organizations such as THSC, NSDC, and Skill India, providing students with an advantage in the job market.
With the increasing demand for skilled Indian manpower in the global hospitality industry, IIHS aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills and provide them with international opportunities. The expansion of IIHS in Delhi is a significant step towards fulfilling the vision of upskilling and creating a highly skilled workforce in the hospitality sector.
