Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Development of Northeast Region, has revealed that India is working on a comprehensive action plan to develop and promote common themes that resonate with partner countries. These themes include Buddhism, Ramayana, and Himalaya heritage circuits. The new National Tourism Policy, which will be implemented soon, will prioritize economic, social, and environmental sustainability, benefiting international tourism.

Addressing the United Nations High-Level Political Forum, Reddy highlighted India's commitment to sustainability and coexistence with nature. The country is promoting "Travel for LiFE" to engage tourists in climate action and environmental protection. Additionally, youth tourism clubs are being established to instill pride in India's cultural and geographical diversity and raise awareness about sustainable tourism practices among young people.

India's hosting of G-20 meetings in various cities aimed to showcase the beauty and wonders of the country. The 'Goa Declaration,' endorsed by G-20 members, focused on green tourism, digitalization, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and destination management.

Reddy emphasized the importance of preserving heritage and developing world-class tourism infrastructure, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
