In a remarkable testament to India's growing stature in the global culinary scene, two Indian pizzerias have secured prestigious spots on the Top 50 Pizza's list of the best pizzerias in the Asia Pacific for 2024. Gurugram's Da Susy, under the leadership of Chef Susanna di Cosimo, achieved an impressive 13th position, while Leo's Pizzeria in New Delhi, spearheaded by Amol Kumar, was ranked 44th. This achievement underscores the increasing popularity and excellence of pizza in India, competing against the best in the Asia Pacific region.
The Top 50 Pizza list, published by an Italy-based media organisation, is renowned for its rigorous evaluation process, highlighting the finest pizzerias around the globe. The inclusion of Da Susy and Leo's Pizzeria not only celebrates the quality and innovation present in the Indian pizza scene but also marks the second consecutive year these establishments have been recognized, reflecting their sustained excellence and commitment to culinary mastery.
The top honours for 2024 went to Pizza Bar (Japan), Crosta Pizzeria (Philippines), and Ristopizza (Japan), demonstrating the diverse and competitive nature of the Asia Pacific's pizza culture. India's representation on this prestigious list is a significant accomplishment, showcasing the nation's ability to blend traditional Italian pizza-making techniques with local flavours and ingredients, creating unique and delightful culinary experiences.
Reacting to this honour, Da Susy shared a message of gratitude and excitement on social media, especially noting the significance of the announcement coinciding with Women's Day. Amol Kumar of Leo's Pizzeria expressed his overwhelming joy and the motivation to continue improving, with hopes of climbing higher in the rankings next year.
This international recognition of Da Susy and Leo's Pizzeria is a moment of pride for the Indian culinary community, highlighting India's evolving gastronomic landscape. It not only reaffirms the country's burgeoning pizza culture but also its burgeoning influence on the international culinary stage. As these establishments continue to set high standards and innovate, their success on such a prestigious list inspires and paves the way for other Indian eateries to make their mark globally, further enriching India's culinary narrative.

While the world is busy sipping green juice and meditating, The Hari Hong Kong is flipping the script with its newest offering—Retox But Not Detox. This unapologetically indulgent stay package invites guests to trade their yoga mats for cigars, desserts, and craft gin in a luxe late-night escape.
Starting from HK$2,360++, the one-night package is available from April 1 to September 30, 2025, and includes a night in a plush room or suite, breakfast for two, and the star attraction—Late-Night Retox—served at Zoku & The Terrace after 8 PM. Guests can choose between two tempting options:
Cigar Combo: A Confidenciaal cigar paired with a glass of The Hari London Dry Gin, featuring notes of citrus, peppercorn, and florals.
Sweet Duo: A trio of desserts—Amalfi lemon sponge, berries panna cotta, and pistachio cannoli—served with a glass of Moscato d’Asti Scagliola Primo Bacio from Piedmont, Italy.
“Not everyone wants a wellness retreat. Some just want a great cigar, a smooth gin, and some seriously good dessert,” shares Francesco Gava, Director of Food & Beverage at The Hari Hong Kong. “We’re embracing that and offering something different—a celebration of life’s pleasures.”
Even guests not staying at the hotel can indulge: the Cigar Combo is available at HK$298+ and the Sweet Duo at HK$228+ per person at Zoku & The Terrace.
And what makes this experience even more personal? The Hari Gin itself. Developed in collaboration with The Hari London, the gin infuses cardamom, star anise, cassia bark, and cloves—an aromatic homage to the Harilela family’s Indian roots. It’s a tribute to the late Dr. Hari Harilela’s love for a classic martini, and it’s already gained recognition with a silver medal at the World Gin Awards 2022.
Guests will also enjoy early check-in at 2 PM and late check-out until 2 PM (subject to availability), giving them more time to savor their stay.
Set within interiors imagined by Tara Bernerd, The Hari’s rooms and suites look out over Wan Chai, The Peak, and Victoria Harbour. With velvet, timber, and marble blending into every corner, indulgence is quite literally built into the design.
Whether you're in for the stay or just the evening experience, Retox But Not Detox is The Hari’s charmingly cheeky answer to post-pandemic wellness fatigue.
