Indian budget-conscious travellers are prioritizing travel despite increasing cost-consciousness, according to Skyscanner's Travel in Focus Report. The report reveals that Indian travellers are flexible and willing to switch itineraries for better travel deals. When it comes to international holidays, they are open to choosing less expensive destinations or travelling during off-peak seasons. Interestingly, Indian travellers are also avid planners, with 72% preferring to thoroughly plan their trips. The report emphasizes the importance of finding the right balance between travel experiences and value for money.

Mohit Joshi, Skyscanner Travel Trends and Destination Expert highlights the role of Skyscanner in helping travellers explore the world within their budget. He recommends using Skyscanner's 'Everywhere' search tool to discover affordable destinations based on location and ranked by price.

The report also uncovers additional insights, such as the enthusiasm of Indian travellers for cricket matches and their preference for slow-paced and immersive travel experiences. Many Indian travellers are also seeking purpose-related travel, engaging in activities like scuba diving, golf, yoga, wellness retreats, and visits to holy places.

To help travellers find affordable deals, Skyscanner suggests using tools like the 'Whole Month' search to compare prices, mixing and matching airlines and airports, and setting up price alerts for desired flights.

Skyscanner's Travel in Focus 2023 report is based on research with OnePoll and survey data from 3,000 travellers in Singapore, India, and South Korea, providing unique insights into travel behaviour and preferences in these countries.
