Ranchi’s food scene just got a global upgrade as McDonald’s India (North & East) unveiled two new restaurants in the city — at Mall of Ranchi and Panache 99, Circular Road. This strategic expansion strengthens the brand’s presence in Jharkhand, following successful outlets in Jamshedpur and Dhanbad.
Ranchi, known for its vibrant youth culture, love for sports, and tight-knit community, now has more reasons to celebrate — with not just one, but two centrally located McDonald’s outlets offering a modern, accessible dining experience.
Each restaurant combines a contemporary aesthetic, globally inspired décor, and a warm ambience. Together, the new locations span 3,034 sq. ft. and offer a combined seating capacity of 197, with both dine-in and takeaway options available.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Managing Director of McDonald’s India – North and East, shared:
“It fills us with immense joy to open our doors in Ranchi, a city that beautifully blends rich Jharkhand traditions, youthful energy, and the warmth of 'sab saath mein' spirit. We look forward to becoming a part of Ranchi's everyday moments — whether it's students catching up after college, families celebrating festivals, or friends unwinding after exploring Tagore Hill or Rock Garden.”
Customers at both outlets can expect:
Self-ordering digital kiosks
Table service
Guest experience leaders for personalized assistance
The menu features a delicious mix of global favourites and Indian classics, including:
Maharaja Mac, McVeggie, McAloo Tikki
McSpicy Burgers, McChicken, McCrispy Chicken, and Chicken McGrill
McDonald’s signature French fries, wraps, beverages, and desserts
Whether you're grabbing a quick bite between classes, enjoying a family outing, or celebrating a shopping spree, these outlets aim to be the go-to hangout spot for Ranchiites.
In line with McDonald’s commitment to community development, the Ranchi outlets will also generate employment opportunities for youth, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, under the McDonald’s for Youth initiative. Aspiring candidates can apply by emailing hiring.ngo@del.in.mcd.com.
Operated by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., McDonald’s has a footprint of close to 245 restaurants and 100 McCafés across the North and East of India. The brand focuses on affordability, high-quality local sourcing, and customer-centric service, making it a preferred food destination for millions.

Rakshabandhan is that special festival where you tease, toast, and treat your sibling, all in one day. While the rakhi ritual is timeless, why not take things up a notch this year? Think gourmet breakfasts, cheeky cocktails, nostalgic tunes, and even game zone showdowns. Here are 9 happening destinations that turn sibling love into an experience worth remembering.
Bluebop Cafe, Khar
If you and your sibling love a breakfast date with flair, Bluebop in Khar brings the perfect jazz-laced vibes. The weekend-only spread (Friday to Sunday, 8 AM to 12 PM) serves everything from Truffle Scrambled Eggs and Parsi-style Akuri to Southern Fried Chicken Waffles. Even the health-conscious are sorted with smoothie bowls like Vegan Paradise and gluten-free crepes. It's the kind of spot where good food meets great vibes, just like every sibling bond.
Red Box Cafe
From spicy sizzlers to hearty pancakes, Red Box Cafe has something for every kind of sibling duo. Whether you’re diving into Pain Perdu Avocado, Cottage Cheese Pesto Pizza or sipping on a colorful mocktail, this menu is as lively as your family group chat. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are clearly labelled, so everyone can join in the fun without missing a beat.
The Game Palacio, Mumbai
Sibling rivalry? Embrace it at The Game Palacio in Phoenix Palladium. This massive play zone offers boutique bowling, VR zones, and arcade games like Tomb Raider. After some action, recharge with Crabstick & Caviar or a Palacio Caesar Salad, and sip on cocktails like the smoky Maracuya La Picante. It’s a Rakhi celebration that’ll have you laughing louder than ever.
Kalpaney, Bangalore
Craving a quieter, thoughtful meal? Kalpaney offers just that. This all-vegetarian space adds a creative spin to comfort food. Highlights include Feta Meets Dahi Bhalla and Nadru Seekh Kebabs, paired with quirky coolers like Imli ka Khajur and Preeti Prema. Phones are gently discouraged and meals end with jaggery, just the kind of pause you need to reflect on years of shared memories.
Mirage, Santacruz
For an elegant Rakhi evening, Mirage brings global flavours under one stylish roof. From Togarashi Prawns to Braised Lamb Shank, every dish adds a layer to your sibling tale. Wash it down with a Wasabi Punch or Poseidon cocktail, and finish with Kunafa Crema for a sweet ending. It's got that easygoing charm that turns a sibling dinner into a festive affair.
Los Cavos
Brunch gets a Latin twist at Los Cavos, where Peruvian dishes steal the show. Whether it’s Ceviche, Pan Seared Sea Bass Quinotto, or Marinated Scallops in Pisco, every bite is bold and playful. The fiesta feel comes alive with tequila, mezcal, and churros to close the meal.
Baroke, South Mumbai
For the sibling duo who vibe to music and memories, Baroke hits the right note. India's first vinyl-only listening bar plays everything from Jimi Hendrix to The Doors. While the turntable spins, sip on signature cocktails like Mango Chilli or Vetiver Gimlet, and dig into Kerala Mutton Fry or crispy fish tacos. It's nostalgic, classy, and oh-so-cosy.
Mercii
Want to say “thanks” with a side of glam? Mercii, owned by Arpita Khan Sharma, is your spot. It brings refined European flair with dishes like Kataifi Prawns, Mercii Surprise, and Four Cheese Pizza. Toast your sibling with ‘Le Trésor’ cocktails like Smoky Terrain and enjoy a meal that’s as memorable as your sibling bond.
Si Nonna's
If your sibling equation is all about pizza fights and dessert deals, Si Nonna’s is the place to be. Known for traditional sourdough pizzas, favourites include Pizza No. 3 (hello, Greek Kalamata olives!) and Pizza No. 6 with spiced chicken and basil pesto. Wash it down with Nonna’s Cooler and top it off with their famous Tiramisu, it’s a full-circle Rakhi meal.
From buttery breakfasts to midnight vinyl sessions, these 9 spots are a delicious way to tie a rakhi, clink a glass, and share a plate (or maybe sneak a bite). Rakshabandhan isn’t just a ritual, it’s a story you write every year. So, write it with food, fun, and loads of laughter.
