W Goa, the only W hotel in South Asia, has appointed Ishwinder Gill as its new General Manager, marking an exciting chapter for the luxury property. With over two decades of remarkable achievements in the hospitality industry, Gill brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to this new role.
Prior to joining W Goa, Gill served as the Chief Operating Officer at Far East Hospitality, where he oversaw 26 hotels across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and Australia. His leadership in Singapore was instrumental in shaping the development of multiple upscale and luxury hotels, including The Barracks Hotel, Oasia Resort Sentosa, The Outpost Hotel, and The Clan Hotel. Before his tenure in Singapore, Gill also demonstrated his expertise in Australia, achieving exceptional results as General Manager in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and New Zealand.
Expressing his enthusiasm about his new role, Gill said, “I am thrilled to join W Goa and embark on this exciting journey with the talented team here. My aim is to position W Goa as one of the finest aspirational escapes in the country. I am also excited to transition from a regional powerhouse in Singapore to a global powerhouse in India.”
Gill's educational background includes attending Cornell University, USA, and William Angliss Institute in Melbourne, Australia, where he pursued hospitality management. His academic credentials, combined with his hands-on experience in leading luxury hotels across different regions, make him well-equipped to lead W Goa to new heights.

Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has announced the appointment of Saurav Datta as Director of Sales & Marketing, strengthening the hotel’s leadership team as it continues to expand its market presence.
Bringing over 23 years of experience across luxury and upper-upscale hospitality brands, Saurav combines operational expertise with strong commercial acumen. His professional journey includes more than a decade in hotel operations, followed by 13 years in sales and marketing leadership roles.
Saurav began his Hyatt journey at Grand Hyatt Mumbai in 2004 within Food & Beverage operations before transitioning into sales and marketing. Over the years, he has held leadership roles across prominent hospitality brands including Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, Le Méridien Hyderabad, and Le Méridien Nagpur, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion initiatives.
He rejoined Hyatt in 2023 at Hyatt Regency Chennai, where he played a significant role in shaping commercial strategy while also supporting Hyatt Pune as Acting General Manager.
In his new role at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, Saurav will lead the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy with a focus on driving revenue growth across key segments and strengthening the property’s positioning within the competitive luxury hospitality landscape.
