ITA Airways has announced that it will join Miles & More, the loyalty program of the Lufthansa Group, as a fully integrated partner starting April 1st, 2026. The integration will be rolled out progressively, with the full user experience expected to be in place by the end of April.

Miles & More is one of Europe’s largest and most established loyalty programs, with over 39 million members globally. The platform includes around 170 international partners, covering 35 airline partners and 135 non-airline collaborations, offering a wide range of benefits and privileges to travellers.

With this move, ITA Airways passengers will gain access to a broader and more connected loyalty network. Travellers can expect a more consistent experience across Lufthansa Group airlines, along with added convenience and recognition across multiple partners worldwide.

This step marks an important milestone in ITA Airways’ ongoing integration into the Lufthansa Group ecosystem. It reflects the airline’s focus on improving customer experience by bringing together services and benefits under a unified system.

Sharing his thoughts, Joerg Eberhart, CEO and General Manager of ITA Airways, said, "Joining Miles & More as fully integrated partner represents a major achievement in our integration with the Lufthansa Group, Our customers will benefit from one of Europe’s most comprehensive and rewarding programs, ensuring greater flexibility and value for their travels. This is a clear example of how synergies within the Lufthansa Group translate into tangible advantages for passengers".

Sandro Pappalardo, Chairman of ITA Airways, added, “The Board of Directors has made an important decision for the company’s development path. I would like to thank all the directors for their contribution and the sense of responsibility shown during the discussions that led to this resolution, adopted in the interest and for the benefit of ITA Airways. We will continue our joint work with our shareholders, in a spirit of full cooperation, to further strengthen the company’s future and the value it represents for the country.”

The announcement builds on earlier developments from February 2025, when ITA Airways first introduced commercial synergies with the Lufthansa Group. With this latest step, the partnership moves further ahead, creating a more seamless loyalty experience for millions of travellers.
