JW Marriott Goa introduces its specialty restaurant, Heliconia, celebrating Nikkei cuisine - a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese culinary traditions. The restaurant's name is inspired by the elegant Heliconia flower, abundant in both Peru and Goa. Peruvian chef Arturo Castro Salazar leads the Nikkei-inspired dining venue, bringing his expertise in Asian, Modern Asian, Nikkei, and Japanese cuisines to craft an exceptional menu.
Nikkei cuisine harmoniously blends the delicate Japanese culinary tradition with the vibrant and spicy flavors of Peru, using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, including Ceviche, Tiradito, Sushi, Nigiri, Tacos, grills, salads, and desserts. Chef Arturo's signature selections, such as Carretillero, Tuna Tataki, Avocado Gunkan, Hamachi Nigiri, Yasai Wrap, Misoyaki, and Daikon Noodles, take center stage on the menu, offering a delightful fusion of flavors and aromas from both countries.
The entrance to Heliconia features an enchanting 'Walk of Life' or a fun buggy ride, setting the mood for a unique dining experience. The interior décor, designed by Rajdeep Ranawat, complements the essence of the Heliconia flower and the tropical landscape surrounding the venue. With a vintage palette, the décor creates a warm and luxurious ambiance, seamlessly blending modern aesthetics with classic tones.
