World Sushi Day on 18th June 2026 will be celebrated across two contemporary Asian dining destinations in India, Katana in Bengaluru and TOQUO in Nagpur—each presenting a curated sushi experience that highlights craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, and modern interpretations of Japanese cuisine.
At Katana, Bengaluru’s sake-led izakaya, the celebration brings together a mix of classic sushi preparations and contemporary uramaki rolls. Guests can enjoy traditional favourites such as Tuna Sashimi, Salmon Sashimi, and California Rolls, alongside innovative creations like Prawn Tempura Uramaki and Salmon Avocado Uramaki. Vegetarian selections including Cucumber Avocado Cream Cheese Maki, Pickled Cucumber Cheese Uramaki, and Avocado Cream Cheese Maki further expand the offering.
Enhancing the experience, Katana encourages guests to pair their sushi with signature sake cocktails or shochu-based drinks, reflecting its vibrant izakaya-style dining concept.
Meanwhile in Nagpur, TOQUO presents a thoughtfully curated sushi menu that blends contemporary Asian dining with bold flavour combinations. The selection includes vegetarian highlights such as Maxicano, Yasai Tempura, and the Signature Chiru Dragon Roll, while seafood and meat lovers can explore Chicken Katsu Maxicano, Hamachi Roll, Tuna Nigiri, and the Signature Salmon Chizu Roll. The menu has been curated by Chef Sachin Lechpa, who brings extensive experience across leading Asian dining brands in India.
Together, both restaurants offer a modern celebration of sushi culture in India, combining authenticity with innovation and giving diners a chance to experience World Sushi Day through diverse regional interpretations.
