Indian School of Hospitality (ISH), a leading institution in Hospitality and Culinary Arts education, has named Kunal Vasudeva as its Co-Founder and Managing Director, effective from August 01, 2023.
Formerly the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Vasudeva's new role as MD aligns with ISH's integration into Sommet Education, a global leader in hospitality management, based in Switzerland. With a portfolio including esteemed brands like Les Roches, Glion, and Ecole Ducasse, Sommet Education's collaboration reinforces ISH's commitment to excellence. Vasudeva's responsibilities encompass expanding ISH's academic offerings, ensuring exceptional standards in line with global benchmarks, and leveraging the new National Education Policy to foster multi-disciplinary education of international caliber in India.
Dilip Puri, the current Founder and CEO of ISH, will transition into the role of Founder and Executive Chairman. "Kunal has been a part of ISH since its inception and has demonstrated his knowledge, passion and dedication in bringing ISH up to the level it is at in a short span of six years. I look forward to his leadership as we steer the institution towards a future full of opportunities with the rapidly changing landscape of higher education in India," stated Dilip Puri.

Chef Mohd Faisal Qureshi has been appointed as the Head Chef at The Westin Mumbai, marking a notable advancement in his 14-year culinary journey across India and international hospitality markets.
Renowned for his expertise in Awadhi and Mughlai cuisine, Chef Faisal brings a strong reputation for crafting refined dining experiences, developing innovative menus, and maintaining high standards in kitchen operations. His career spans fine dining leadership, large-scale catering for prestigious events, and curated food promotions across multiple cities.
Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in kitchen management systems, budgeting, procurement, inventory control, hygiene protocols, food safety compliance, and guest-centric culinary innovation. His ability to balance authenticity with modern presentation has made him a respected name in the hospitality space.
Before joining The Westin Mumbai, Chef Faisal held key positions at leading hospitality brands including JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh, where he served as Master Chef, along with roles at Trident Hyderabad and Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal as Chef de Partie. These experiences helped shape his leadership style and strengthened his operational expertise in luxury kitchen environments.
He has also collaborated on high-profile food festivals and culinary showcases alongside Chef Abdul Haleem, with participation in international hospitality events at venues such as Atlantis The Palm and Palazzo Versace Dubai, further expanding his global exposure.
Chef Faisal’s culinary philosophy blends traditional Indian flavours with contemporary plating techniques, aiming to deliver elevated dining experiences that resonate with modern guests while staying rooted in authenticity.

Chef Satish Prasad has been appointed as the Executive Chef at Farzi Café Seattle, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing and globally diverse culinary career. The move is expected to further strengthen the brand’s culinary direction with a sharper focus on innovation and elevated guest experiences.
Before taking on this new role, Chef Prasad served as Executive Chef (Catering) at Riga Foods, where he was instrumental in driving culinary innovation, streamlining operations, and enhancing overall kitchen efficiency. His appointment reflects Farzi Café’s continued emphasis on creative gastronomy and contemporary dining experiences.
With more than 20 years of experience, Chef Prasad brings a strong foundation built across luxury hotels, international cruise lines, and premium hospitality brands. His professional journey includes leadership roles at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Andaz Delhi, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, Hyatt Regency Delhi, The Suryaa New Delhi, and Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, where he honed his expertise in menu engineering, kitchen operations, and culinary leadership.
A defining phase of his career was his eight-year tenure with Carnival Cruise Line in Florida, USA, where he managed large-scale culinary operations and delivered international cuisine experiences for a global audience. This exposure strengthened his ability to maintain consistency and creativity in high-pressure environments.
Throughout his career, Chef Prasad has been known for his strong command over kitchen management systems, cost control, inventory optimization, waste reduction, and team mentoring. His leadership style blends operational discipline with a strong emphasis on creativity and collaboration.

Pataaka has appointed Prrateek Chaudhary as its new Director of Beverage, further strengthening the restaurant’s leadership team and premium dining experience in the United States.
Recognised for its contemporary approach to Indian hospitality and elevated dining experiences, Pataaka continues to expand its focus on curated beverage programmes and guest engagement through this strategic appointment.
Prior to joining Pataaka, Prrateek Chaudhary served as Director of Beverages at Kiran's and earlier worked as Beverage Manager at Sanjh, where he played an instrumental role in beverage innovation and guest experience enhancement.
With a hospitality career spanning luxury hotel brands and restaurant concepts across India and the United States, Prrateek Chaudhary brings extensive expertise in beverage management, restaurant operations, revenue growth, culinary innovation, and concept development.
Before moving to the United States, he was associated with Crowne Plaza Gurgaon as Assistant Director – Food & Beverage. During his tenure, the department’s revenue reportedly grew from ₹26 crore to a projected ₹31 crore within nine months.
He also led the successful pre-opening and launch of multiple dining concepts including Kaansa, an Indian fine-dining restaurant; Terrace Garden, a Mediterranean grill concept; and Artisan's Atelier, a premium patisserie and lounge.
Over the years, Prrateek Chaudhary has worked with globally recognised hospitality brands including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, IHG Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Palace New Delhi, Taj Hotels and The Lodhi, building a strong reputation within the luxury food and beverage industry.
His professional journey also includes involvement in five major pre-opening projects including Fairmont Jaipur, Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi, Perbacco at The Lodhi, Kaansa Gurgaon, and Sanjh Dallas.
