Lenexis Foodworks has appointed Ankur Gupta as Head of Procurement, strengthening its procurement and projects leadership as the company continues to expand its quick-service restaurant network across India.

Gupta brings more than 17 years of experience across projects and procurement, with previous stints at Sapphire Foods, Yum Brands and Future Group. He holds an M.Tech from NIT Bhopal.

Before joining Lenexis Foodworks, Gupta spent around a decade with Sapphire Foods, the master franchisee for KFC and Pizza Hut in India. He most recently served as Associate General Manager, where he developed experience across procurement and capex functions within a multi-brand QSR operation.

At Lenexis Foodworks, Gupta will oversee procurement, capex and design standardisation. His responsibilities will include developing standard operating procedures to support faster store roll-outs, standardising bills of quantities and design parameters, overseeing auctions and equipment procurement, and strengthening audit processes across the company's store network.

The appointment comes as Lenexis Foodworks scales its portfolio and works towards its stated target of 500 stores. The company said the focus on procurement systems, capex discipline and standardised design is intended to support consistent execution as the network expands across markets.
