Lotus at THE Park Chennai, one of the city’s well-known Pan Asian dining spots, is introducing an all-new menu, adding a fresh chapter to its long-standing culinary journey. Opened in 2002 and known as Chennai’s only Thai fine dining restaurant at the time, Lotus has remained a familiar name for those who enjoy Asian flavours in an elegant setting.

The updated menu, launching on Friday, 27th March’26, brings a fresh perspective to Southeast Asian cuisine. Chef Thomas has put together a selection that balances authentic cooking techniques with new ideas, offering dishes that stay true to their roots while adding a modern touch.

With years of experience across Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cuisines, Chef Thomas has shaped a menu that reflects both tradition and creativity. His approach focuses on keeping the flavours genuine while presenting them in a way that feels new and interesting, in line with THE Park Hotels’ ‘Anything But Ordinary’ philosophy.

While many classics that have been part of the menu for over two decades continue to be served, the relaunch also introduces a range of new signature dishes. Guests can look forward to options like Japanese kanikama poke taco, featuring crab meat with cucumber and carrot on crispy rice paper, and nori wrapped cottage cheese steaks.

Other highlights include Japanese rice arancini, ember and ivory prawns, double decker prawn toast, and dynamite prawns served with a spicy sauce. The menu also features dishes such as Shanghai chicken, lobster in Asian barbeque sauce with bell peppers and baby corn, and Bangkok bass paired with massaman curry and nam jim slaw.

For those looking for comforting favourites, the Lotus fried rice, wrapped in a lotus leaf with jasmine rice and roasted chilli paste, stands out. The experience is rounded off with desserts like black sticky rice with lychees.

With a mix of signature classics and new creations, the refreshed menu at Lotus offers both loyal guests and new diners a chance to explore Pan Asian cuisine with a fresh perspective.
