Maharashtra Tourism, a vibrant gem in India's tourism landscape, celebrated remarkable success at WTM London 2023, held from November 6th to 8th at ExCel London. The state's tourism pavilion, inaugurated by Ms. V. Vidyavathi, IAS – Union Tourism Secretary, and Mr. Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, showcased Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and urban charm.
Crafted as an immersive journey, the exhibit captivated visitors with visual splendor, featuring imagery and cultural treasures that encapsulated the essence of Maharashtra. The pavilion highlighted ancient forts, temples, the lush Western Ghats, serene Konkan coast beaches, and UNESCO-listed Ellora and Ajanta Caves.
The Maharashtra Tourism stand attracted a diverse audience, aligning seamlessly with the event's sustainable tourism theme. The pavilion facilitated meaningful Business-to-Business (B2B) interactions, fostering collaborations with international travel trade representatives. Visitors expressed keen interest in the state's offerings, from adventure opportunities to wildlife safaris and cultural landmarks.
On November 8th, 2023, the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, hosted a captivating Roadshow in London.
