In a bold move to cater to the booming travel and tourism sector, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. has announced a hefty investment plan. The company is all set to pour as much as Rs 45 billion (about $542.8 million) into its operations. What's the goal? To double the joy by doubling its room capacity from 5,000 to a whopping 10,000 by the year 2030.
Kavinder Singh, the big boss at Mahindra Holidays (you might know him as the managing director and CEO), shared the big news. "We've got big plans, and we're ready to roll," he said, beaming with excitement about taking the company's room count to new heights.
So, how's Mahindra Holidays planning to make this happen? It's all about spreading their wings and adding more spots for travelers to kick back and relax. They're not just building from scratch; they're also expanding what they already have and even acquiring some new places. It's like making new friends and keeping the old, but for resorts.
Singh highlighted the importance of working hand-in-hand with state governments to bring these ambitious plans to life. He's confident that with a bit of teamwork, they can make a big splash in the travel scene.
Currently, the company is already diving into this expansion with about Rs 8.35 billion earmarked for five projects that promise to add 690 keys to their collection. "We're just getting started," Singh assured, hinting at even bigger investments on the horizon.
Mahindra Holidays is not just about making a profit; it's about creating memorable experiences. With resorts across India and even some cozy spots abroad, they're on a mission to make every holiday special. Whether it's a family adventure or a quiet getaway, they're preparing to welcome twice as many guests by 2030. So pack your bags; exciting times are ahead!
