CGH Earth Saha has proudly opened Mansao Curtorim, a restored 223-year-old Portuguese villa, adding another gem to its collection of heritage-inspired getaways. Set in the serene village of Curtorim, South Goa, this historic mansion offers travelers an authentic experience of Goan culture, tradition, and hospitality away from the typical tourist routes. Just a 30-minute drive from Goa’s beaches, the villa invites guests to experience a quieter side of the region, nestled among lush landscapes, historic churches, and peaceful paddy fields.

The villa, with its striking red façade and traditional Indo-Portuguese architecture, has been meticulously restored to blend colonial elegance with modern comforts. High wooden ceilings, expansive balconies, and carefully curated furniture capture the timeless beauty of Goa’s cultural heritage. Mansao Curtorim features six beautifully furnished bedrooms, a grand formal dining room, an inviting outdoor dining space, and a central courtyard with colonial-style arches and galleries that create a serene ambiance perfect for relaxation and intimate gatherings.

Inside, the villa’s interiors showcase restored colonial furniture, Portuguese-inspired fabrics, and other details that highlight the rich history of the region. Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of The Royal Hotel Cookstown to its international portfolio, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence across the United Kingdom.

The move reflects the group’s strategy of building a curated collection of distinctive hospitality destinations that combine design, cultural authenticity, and personalised guest experiences.

Under this partnership, the property will continue to be owned by the Thom family, while Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts will take over the day-to-day management. The collaboration is designed to merge the hotel’s established legacy with the group’s experience-led approach, ensuring a balance between operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery.

The group plans to focus on refining the hotel’s brand positioning across regional and international markets, while enhancing operational performance. Key initiatives will include strengthening service delivery through people-first training, implementing structured operational frameworks, and driving commercial outcomes through disciplined revenue strategies. A more cohesive, design-led identity across guest touchpoints is also part of the transformation plan.
