Marriott India celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 with inspiring wellness initiatives and yoga drives across its properties nationwide. In line with the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Ayush’s theme — “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” — Marriott hotels came together to encourage a more balanced and health-conscious lifestyle among both guests and associates.
Highlighting the deep-rooted benefits of Yoga in enhancing physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional resilience, Marriott India continues to weave yogic practices into its everyday guest experience. From dedicated yoga sessions to thoughtfully curated wellness packages, the brand aims to make holistic living more accessible and impactful.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman of the Marriott India Business Council, said, “Yoga is a timeless practice that offers unparalleled benefits for both individual and collective well-being. We at Marriott India are deeply committed to fostering a culture of health and mindfulness. By aligning with the 'One Earth, One Health' theme, we aim to inspire our guests and associates to embrace Yoga as a powerful tool for holistic living, contributing to a healthier planet and healthier communities.”
A standout moment in the celebration was witnessed at The Westin Chennai Velachery, where over 30 associates joined hands with more than 300 students and faculty members from Guru Nanak College for a vibrant group yoga session. Held within the hotel premises, the session infused the morning with energy, focus, and unity. It concluded with a mindful breakfast featuring nutritious, wellness-focused delights, demonstrating the power of nourishing both body and mind.
Mr. Deepraj Mukherjee, General Manager of The Westin Chennai Velachery, shared, “This International Yoga Day was a truly uplifting experience. Joined by Guru Nanak College students, faculty, guests, and our passionate team, we celebrated the unifying spirit of yoga. Such enthusiastic participation reflects Marriott India's ongoing commitment to holistic well-being and mindful living.”
The overwhelming response to the yoga drives and wellness activities highlights Marriott India’s unwavering support for integrating Yoga into daily life. With its conscious focus on physical vitality, mental wellness, and community engagement, the brand continues to lead by example—building a more mindful, resilient, and health-focused hospitality ecosystem.
