Mews, a leading provider of hospitality cloud services, has expanded its offerings by integrating Mews Point-of-Sale (POS) with embedded Mews Payments. This strategic move aims to deliver significant operational time savings and enhance guest experiences across the hotel industry.
The new integration is now available in 16 countries, enabling the digital ordering of food and beverages to be processed on the same platform used for other guest transactions, including upgrades and bill settlements. This unified approach promises a seamless experience for both hotel staff and guests.
Josef Starýchfojtů, Mews' Chief Product and Technology Officer, highlighted the benefits of this integration: "By harnessing the power of embedded payments, hoteliers will feel real benefits across their business. Consolidated payment functionalities mean faster, more secure operations, with cumulative time savings, richer guest data, and an increase in guest satisfaction."
Mercure Roeselare, a four-star hotel in Belgium, is already reaping the benefits of Mews' embedded payments within their F&B services. Damien Janssens, the hotel's General Manager, shared his positive experience: "Having all payments in one basket that we can check daily in Mews is crucial for our cash flow. It simplifies the reporting process for both myself and our accounting team."
The integration offers a unified fee structure across all Property Management System (PMS) and POS transactions, along with consolidated payouts. This comprehensive payment reporting directly within Mews Operations eliminates the need for manual data import or export, allowing hotels to work with a single provider for all their payment processing needs. This leads to significant time savings and removes the necessity for additional 'know your customer' checks, further expediting the implementation process.
This latest development follows Mews' partnership with Ringhotels, aimed at advancing digital transformation in the German hotel sector. The integration of POS with Mews Payments is set to become a game-changer in the hospitality industry, streamlining operations and enhancing the overall guest experience.
