Minor Hotels, a leading hospitality group, has announced the upcoming rebranding of Peace Resort Samui into NH Collection Samui, marking the arrival of NH Collection – an upscale brand synonymous with European refinement – to Thailand. From 1st January 2025, following a property upgrade, the resort will start operating as NH Collection Samui.

The 122-key property enjoys a prime location directly on Bophut Beach, nestled along the northern shore of Koh Samui at the foot of a lush hill, offering privacy and tranquillity while remaining conveniently close to shopping and entertainment. Originally established in 1977 by the Pupaiboon family, the property has been independently operated ever since, becoming a popular holiday destination for generations of Thais and international guests.

The resort is strategically positioned within easy reach of the vibrant Fisherman’s Village that is home to numerous restaurants, bars, and shops. A mere 400 meters from NH Collection Samui, a sister property, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, offers a host of upscale leisure and dining options, suggesting an opportunity for shared facilities and additional benefits.

Catering to a wide variety of travelers, from solo vacationers to extended families, NH Collection Samui offers a mix of deluxe rooms, bungalows, and villas, some with private swimming pools and direct beach access. The all-day-dining restaurant serves local and global flavors alongside ocean views; the bar pours passionate drinks from its strategic position between the pool and the beach; and the lobby-side Indigo Lounge is an elegant haven of tea and cakes. Seafood and meat lovers can also request a private in-villa BBQ experience.

Recreational facilities abound, including a fitness center, water sports center, and kids’ and teens’ facilities ranging from cinema and indoor play area to a shaded outdoor playground. For necessities, there is a thoughtfully stocked retail shop, while flexible meeting and event spaces will showcase NH Collection’s signature blend of intuitive service, top-range technology, and unexpected design touches.

“We are thrilled to partner with the esteemed Pupaiboon family to bring the first NH Collection hotel to Thailand as part of the brand’s expansion outside of Europe and Americas,” said Mark O’Sullivan, Vice President of Operations - Bangkok, Samui, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai. “Our joint vision for the beloved resort includes potential further development down the line, including stand-alone villas or branded residential units for sale to meet a growing demand for upscale holiday homes and investment properties. I look forward to welcoming guests to this exceptional addition to our collection of resorts in Thailand.”

Samui Airport is approximately 15-20 minutes by car. Nathon Pier, which connects Koh Samui to Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Phangan, and other popular destinations, is a 25-minute drive away. NH Collection Samui joins Minor Hotels’ portfolio as the fifth property on the island and over twenty in Thailand.

ALIVAA Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its presence in Uttarakhand through a strategic tie-up with Ayali Riverside Resort, marking its fifth property in the state. The move expands the group’s leisure portfolio in Rishikesh, widely regarded as India’s spiritual and adventure capital.

Set along the Huvel River, a tributary of the Ganges River, the resort features independent luxury cottages designed for travellers seeking privacy and tranquillity. Surrounded by the Himalayan foothills, the property caters to guests drawn to Rishikesh’s blend of spiritual heritage, yoga culture and outdoor adventure. Its proximity to landmarks such as Laxman Jhula and Neelkanth Mahadev Temple enhances its appeal among both domestic and international visitors.

The partnership aligns with rising travel demand in Uttarakhand, where Rishikesh has evolved beyond a pilgrimage centre into a hub for wellness tourism, adventure sports and extended “work-from-mountain” stays. With existing properties in Haridwar, Mussoorie and Lansdowne, and an upcoming project in Jim Corbett, ALIVAA continues to scale its footprint across key leisure destinations.

Akash Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer (M&F) of ALIVAA Hotels & Resorts, said, “The addition of Ayali Riverside Resort to our portfolio is a calculated move to capture the booming demand for experience-led stays in Uttarakhand. Marking our fifth property in the state, this expansion highlights our deep commitment to the region. By integrating Ayali’s stunning riverside location with ALIVAA’s commercial engine, this cooperation is set to deliver superior value to both our guests and our partners.”

Vikramjit Singh, Founder and Chairman of ALIVAA Hotels & Resorts, added, “Our vision for ALIVAA has always been to bridge the gap between asset potential and professional management. This joint undertaking reinforces our commitment to building an ecosystem that is ‘unmistakably Indian at heart’ yet global in its standards.”

Sandeep Kumar, Founder of Ayali Hotels & Resorts, noted that the alliance will allow the property to leverage ALIVAA’s marketing and sales expertise while maintaining its personalised guest experience.

With a growing pipeline and focus on midscale and upper-midscale segments, ALIVAA’s latest expansion underscores its ambition to emerge as a leading hospitality operator in high-growth leisure markets.

CheckIn Partners with MAP to Bring Art-Led Experiences to SUNDAY Hotels

CheckIn Partners with MAP to Bring Art-Led Experiences to SUNDAY Hotels

In a move that blends hospitality with heritage, CheckIn has partnered with Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), Bengaluru, to introduce curated art experiences across select SUNDAY Hotels. The initiative aims to transform hotel spaces into immersive cultural environments where Indian art and storytelling become an integral part of the guest journey.

Launched as a pilot across three properties, Sunday Hotel, Zirakpur; Sunday Hotel & Residency M3M, Gurugram; and Sunday Hotel & Resort, Manesar, the collaboration marks one of the first structured efforts in India to embed museum-curated art within hospitality spaces at scale. Rooted in the shared belief that art should be part of everyday life, the partnership reimagines hotels not merely as places to stay, but as living galleries reflecting India’s artistic depth.

The inaugural collection features curated reprints spanning indigenous art practices, modern and contemporary works, and elements of popular culture. Gond paintings by Jangarh Singh Shyam offer insights into indigenous storytelling traditions, while Madan Meena’s Baramasa series draws from a distinctive genre of Indian miniature painting depicting the rhythm of seasons and their emotional resonance. Textile Labels from the early 20th century highlight the influence of chromolithography on art and design during that era.

Speaking on the partnership, Varun Jain, Chief Operating OfficerAsia, PRISM, noted that art has the power to deepen connections to culture and shared narratives. Abhishek Poddar, Founder of MAP, added that moving art beyond museum walls into everyday spaces encourages curiosity and fosters meaningful engagement with South Asian visual heritage.

The collaboration reflects evolving travel preferences, where guests increasingly seek culturally immersive and meaningful stays. By integrating curated art into its properties, CheckIn positions SUNDAY Hotels as spaces that celebrate regional narratives and artistic traditions while offering a contemporary hospitality experience.

With plans to expand the programme across additional SUNDAY Hotels, CheckIn aims to create a distributed art experience across India, one that brings cultural memory and creative expression closer to travellers nationwide.

PRISM, the parent company of OYO, operates across more than 35 countries, serving over 100 million customers globally through diverse hospitality and urban living solutions. Meanwhile, MAP Bengaluru, housed in a purpose-built 44,000 square foot space on Kasturba Road, continues its mission to preserve and promote South Asian visual art while cultivating a stronger museum-going culture in India.

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai Unveils Its Grand New Ballroom, Redefining the City’s Celebration Landscape

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai Unveils Its Grand New Ballroom, Redefining the City’s Celebration Landscape

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai has officially unveiled visuals of its newly launched 10,000-square-foot ballroom, a landmark addition that sets a new benchmark for luxury celebrations in the city. Located in Worli, one of Mumbai’s most vibrant cultural and social districts, the ballroom has been conceptualised as a refined spatial experience rather than a traditional banqueting hall. Designed to feel expansive yet intimate, the venue seamlessly balances scale, proportion, and meticulous detailing.

Opened on 29th January 2026, the pillarless ballroom brings together architectural elegance, cutting-edge technology, and the signature personalised service synonymous with the Four Seasons brand. A private arrival porch and dedicated entrance establish a sense of exclusivity from the outset, leading guests into a 1,300-square-foot pre-function area ideal for welcome rituals, cocktail receptions, and elegant mingling.

The heart of the venue is a 5,700-square-foot uninterrupted main hall with soaring ceilings and clear sightlines, offering remarkable flexibility for weddings, milestone celebrations, social soirées, fashion showcases, automobile launches, and corporate galas. Integrated LED panelling across an entire wall, advanced audiovisual systems, and adaptable lighting allow the space to transition effortlessly from sunlit daytime ceremonies to immersive evening celebrations.

The ballroom’s design palette blends deep blues with nuanced gold accents and luminous whites, creating a setting that feels both contemporary and timeless. Subtle spherical motifs and bespoke finishes introduce warmth and architectural rhythm, while a live kitchen concept, anchored by a dedicated local maharaj, ensures that culinary artistry remains central to every occasion.

Speaking on the unveiling, Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, said, “At Four Seasons, we believe celebrations should feel deeply personal and effortlessly grand. This ballroom has been crafted to honour life’s most meaningful milestones, where every wedding vow, every toast, and every gathering is elevated by design, service, and heartfelt attention.”

In keeping with the hotel’s commitment to conscious luxury, sustainability is thoughtfully woven into the ballroom’s offerings. These include locally sourced menus, collaborations with eco-luxe décor partners, and a zero-waste culinary philosophy that balances indulgence with responsibility.

The newly released imagery highlights the ballroom’s grandeur, design nuances, and immersive atmosphere, offering a compelling preview of what awaits. Now open, the ballroom at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai positions itself as one of the city’s most coveted event destinations, where impeccable service, architectural sophistication, and thoughtful personalisation come together to create celebrations that are not just hosted, but exquisitely experienced.
