Minor Hotels, a global hotel operator with over 550 properties across 56 countries, recently completed a successful roadshow in India, spanning Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. Held from October 21 to 25, 2024, the roadshow allowed Minor Hotels to introduce unique travel experiences to Indian travel agents, wedding planners, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) companies.

Representatives from 26 Minor Hotels properties in the Middle East, Europe, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius joined the event to network with India’s top travel professionals. Over 400 Indian companies participated, engaging in discussions about travel trends, product offerings, and experiences curated specifically for the Indian market. The roadshow also showcased Minor Hotels’ new product offerings tailored to India, as demand from Indian travelers for international travel continues to grow, especially for destination weddings and multi-generational trips.

As part of its expansion strategy, Minor Hotels has set ambitious goals for the Indian market. The company is planning to open 50 new hotels in India over the next ten years, with the first Anantara-branded property set to open in Jaipur later this year.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, noted the importance of India’s dynamic hospitality market for the company’s growth. “Goa’s tourism landscape is experiencing remarkable growth, and IHCL, with its presence for over five decades in the state, continues to expand its footprint across its brandscape. With the growing demand for experiential travel, we are delighted to launch La Estoria, Goa - IHCL SeleQtions, offering differentiated and culturally immersive experiences in India’s most sought-after holiday destination.”
