Minor Hotels, a global leader in the hospitality industry, has announced plans to launch its Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand in Singapore. This marks the group’s first entry into the Singaporean market, with the new 13-storey upscale hotel set to open in the first quarter of 2027. The project aligns with Minor Hotels' strategy to expand its presence in key global destinations.

The 200-room hotel will be developed in partnership with Singapore’s Kajima Development and Abu Dhabi-based Alwathba Investment. Located at 24 Peck Seah Street in the vibrant Tanjong Pagar district, the hotel will offer guests easy access to Singapore’s Central Business District and Chinatown. The property will blend modern luxury with the historic charm of the city-state’s iconic shophouses, positioning itself as part of the next chapter in the Historic District’s development.

The Tanjong Pagar area is known for its diverse culinary scene, ranging from traditional hawker fare at Maxwell and Amoy Street food centers to Michelin-recommended restaurants along Kiong Siak Road, Telok Ayer, and Duxton Hill. The hotel’s location, less than 200 meters from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and 350 meters from Maxwell MRT Station, will provide convenient access to key areas such as Singapore’s Downtown Core and Marina Bay, making it an ideal spot for both business and leisure travelers.

Avani Hotels & Resorts, launched by Minor Hotels in 2011, is known for providing stylish accommodations, connected social spaces, and relaxed dining experiences tailored to modern travelers. The brand currently operates 42 properties across 24 countries. Minor Hotels plans to expand Avani’s footprint to nearly 100 hotels and resorts by 2026, with upcoming openings in Thailand, China, and the Seychelles.
