Moksh Chopra, former General Manager of KFC India and partner countries, has been appointed Market Lead, Indian Subcontinent, for Taco Bell International, effective September 7, 2026.
In his new role, Chopra will be responsible for driving strategy, business growth and operational excellence for Taco Bell across India, Sri Lanka and Kuwait.
The appointment follows Chopra's 16-year career with Yum! Brands, during which he made significant contributions to KFC's business and culture. Most recently, as General Manager, he played a key role in strengthening business fundamentals and shaping the brand's long-term growth agenda across the business market unit.
Under his leadership, KFC achieved several milestones, including growing its market share to around 27%, doubling its restaurant footprint and operating profit, delivering strong system sales growth, improving unit economics and enhancing consumer and employee experiences.
Commenting on the appointment, Scott Mezvinsky, CEO, KFC Global, said, “One of KFC’s strengths is developing exceptional leaders who continue to grow their careers across Yum! and our brands.” He added that Chopra had been a driving force behind KFC India's recent success and expressed confidence in his ability to apply his operational and strategic expertise to Taco Bell.
As Market Lead, Indian Subcontinent, Chopra will work closely with Taco Bell's franchisees and local teams to accelerate the brand's growth across the three markets.
Taco Bell is identified as an important growth engine for Yum! Brands in the region, with the company pursuing expansion ambitions across the Indian subcontinent. Chopra's experience with KFC India is expected to support Taco Bell as it strengthens its business fundamentals and builds further momentum in these markets.
The move also highlights Yum! Brands' approach to developing leadership talent across its restaurant brands, with Chopra transitioning from a senior KFC leadership role into a broader regional mandate with Taco Bell International.
