Moxy Mumbai Andheri West has announced the appointment of Akshay Pethkar as its new Loss & Prevention Manager, bringing over 12 years of experience across hospitality, aviation and maritime security operations.

In his new role, Akshay will oversee the property’s security and safety operations, with a focus on guest and associate safety, emergency preparedness, risk management, fire safety compliance, crisis management and loss prevention. He will also work on strengthening security protocols and ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational SOPs.

Before joining Moxy Mumbai Andheri West, Akshay served as Security & Safety Manager at Vivanta, Thane, where he handled hotel security and safety operations. He also spent over seven years with President IHCL SeleQtions, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, managing hotel security operations, loss prevention, emergency preparedness and VVIP movement coordination. His earlier experience includes security roles with Costa Cruises and SpiceJet Ltd., giving him experience across maritime, aviation and hospitality security environments.

Akshay holds a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. With his experience across different security environments and his operational focus, Akshay joins the leadership team at Moxy Mumbai Andheri West to oversee the property’s safety, security and loss prevention functions.
